Status: offline 		Hugs Holly...we all have been there, done that ..and it is the cost of trusting enough to let people in and making ourselves vulnerable to them. But for every betrayer there are others who enrich our lives, it is worth dealing with those who take advantage of us or hurt us, to find those gems. Hang in there gentle lady... we ain't all bad.

Sunshine, sometimes it doesn't take doing something mean spirited or hurtful..all it takes is an accusation, rumor or gossip mill. The Crucible by Arthur Miller is a wonderful example of how rumors and accusations can harm others without any foundation. The news is full of the damage people can do through electronic media and the eagerness of others to believe the worst. I would hate to think that those of us here would do such. Shunning is never the way to go, especially if you haven't investigated for yourself. It would be like a Black List for Dominants and Subs..they might not have been your cup of tea, but they may be perfect for someone else..how do you Black List them then? Even the courts listen to both sides of an incident before making a determination. You can say they play in this manner or that or that they did something to make you feel in danger, but that doesn't mean I would feel the same way with tha person. It might be just right..for me.

And dang I am glad that I'm oblivious to the politics on this board, please please people don't allow others to wound you. I know it isn't easy and doesn't apply to everyone, but keeping things in perspective can do wonders for emotional health. If there is someone who gets off from hurting others by innuendo or flat out lying, keep that as the reality. It is on them not you. Be yourself, love yourself. Take the love that others give you and discard the garbage.

I wish no one ever hurt. Either physically or emotionally. That is however an impossible wish (as all the best wishes are).

It is true that one doesn't need to actually do something wrong to be accused of it.  My point was that perhaps she needs to take a look at her behavior.  Is there in fact something there?  Something that could be misconstrued, something that she needs to make amends about...  Rarely have I seen the folks here, the regulars that is, do something so final as shunning without dang good reason.  If she is being shunned (her word), my bet is there is something going on and she knows what it is.  Or it is a ploy for attention.  *eta:  or it is her imagination.  Regardless, the response is hers to handle.

People tend to forgive technical mistakes.  Mistakes of the heart, not so much.

Status: offline 		I hate it that my hair is matted with chocolate sauce from last night, and I cant wash my hair till after errands today because the stoopid people that put in fire hydrants did one wrong, and now they have shut off water for the whole cul de sac.  Ugh!  Bastages!  They will pay...lol.

I certainly would.

I've never understood that line of thought actually. I would really enjoy a life that didn't involve toxic people, hurt feelings, getting sick etc.
I'm not a masochist.. I don't need or want pain.

And I will always wish a life free of strife for those that are hurting, granted my wishing it changes nothing except perhaps my own outlook on things.

Status: offline 		i hate it when i cut myeslf pretty good at work (any deeper and i'd have needed stitches) and Master tells me i get hurt too much. once a week isn't that much and i haven't hurt myself this badly in a few months...

Status: offline 		i hate that i had to have an emergency D&C this morning and i've missed a day of work and commissions.  the harder i try to get ahead the more walls i run into.  it's frustrating.

guess i'll get out there and try twice as hard tomorrow.

That sucks. Can you at least take tomorrow to rest up? The emergency may be over but it seems to me your body might need a bit of extra rest after something like that.
