I thought about that - but C (the aide who comes and deals with dad's hygene) has such a full schedule that she's already overloaded - and told me that if her schedule weren't already crazy she'd do so - before I had a chance to ask her about it! She's been a godsend, even if I'm still Exceptionally unhappy with the company Admin portion. There are like 15 companies in this metro that do Home Health on various levels. I talked to 14 of those back in January, which is why I know now what I'm facing as far as billing goes. As long as I can get the Equipment portion taken care of and arranged during the next 7 days, then APS won't have any excuse to grinch at me not having what he needs on hand. And the equipment stuff is actually the Easy portion of it. I can simply go purchase a new nebulizer outright - there's 5 places within a mile of here that carry them for sale at a reasonable cost. The difficult part is his oxygen seperator unit, and there's only 3 or 4 companies in the entire metro that carry those - and then only for rental. So rental cost is something I'm simply going to have to add to the monthly bills to get paid. And honestly - after a xanax, a pain pill, a muscle relaxant, and a sleeping pill - which combined to ensure that I actually GOT an uninterupted night's sleep to the point of a tornado or a gun going off next to my head wouldn't have woken my ass up - I'm feeling at least a Bit more like I can actually get this done in a manner that isn't going to give anyone any excuses to bitch at me, and to keep a lid on it til I can make more permanent arrangements. (Thank the gods for the fact that roomie hasn't gotten moved yet - he saw what sort of shape I was in yesterday at dinnertime, growled at me until I took pain meds that I usually refuse to take so I won't build up a tolerance, and volunteered to deal with Any problems with dad during the night.)
