Is there a way to get a vacuum cleaner down there?

I hate, hate spiders and the only way I could do a basement job like yours is to literally lead the way with the vacuum tube in front of me to intercept webs and such.

Thorny...i had the cordless vac in one hand and a can of Raid in the other...plus i was dragging a broom around to whack the boxes before i got close and to use the handle to pick up what i could.

I have been going down there daily for the past week, spraying Raid and I STILL can't do it.
It is 60 degrees down there and after 15 minutes my shirt was soaked with sweat.

thornhappy -> RE: I hate it when........ (10/20/2009 9:35:42 AM)

Damn.  I'm thinking Xanax or alcohol at this point.

Or git Jim to do it...

What about your cats??? Take your cats with you, they might deal with them...at least mine would!!! *gosh am I proud of them*...

I hate it when I get a lift home from uni, get off earlier to pop into town to buy some bits and pieces for my meeting with my C-dom on friday and once I left the car I realise I forgot my mobile phone in the car [sm=gaah.gif] Needless to say, the traffic continued straight away once I was off so the friends were gone [:(]

Thank goodness my friend found the phone and he is at same placement as I am (just different department) so I will get it back tomorrow...nevertheless I hate to be without it and now I need to find my other one to be able to have an alarm clock tomorrow [:o]

Thats such moments when I know how Holly feels several times a day ... fucking clumsyness...

I also hate that my TV channels seem to become less and less...by now I do not only get ITV2 and hallmark anymore, no, now even BBC2 vanished... [sm=wtf.gif]

They always had such a big mouth about how many more channels you would get with fucking digital TV...my TV is done for that stuff but since that date was here my amount of channels keeps shrinking [:(][:(][:(][:(]

If it continues that way then I won't need to check a TV programm anymore as then there will only be one available (or none and DVD's will have to be used all the time [>:])

i hate that yesterday came and went without word from one of my daughters who cut off communication with family and friends 6 years ago.  Yesterday was her 33rd birthday.  i raised two of her children for a couple of years until their father could take care of them.  i pray that she is well.

My dear fluffy,
I've been that girl.  The daughter who cut off communication from my family for years.  I know it deeply hurt my mom and a couple of my sisters.  But for me, I had to.  I had to get completely away in order to deal with some very serious issues.  I always knew who my bio family was even though I was adopted.  I just had to step away and get into a setting with fewer variables in order to figure things out.

A few years ago my father had surgery.  I decided to go out to be with the family, never pressing, never expecting... just be available if they wanted me around.  It was the most incredible experience!  Since then, I've slowly taken my family back into my life, and found I can see them much more clearly than I did when I was involved with them.

I'm grateful for the time I had away... It was a blessing - difficult, but a blessing nonetheless.

When I first saw my mom again after all that time, she put a card down in front of me.  It was a birthday card she'd sent me just as I cut them off.  It was returned to her, and she'd kept it all those years.  I can't tell you how much her unconditional love during my years away meant to me.

So, from one prodigal daughter, thank you for your love dear fluffy.  She may not know it right now, but it is a blessing.

I hate that the day of reckoning is soon approaching. I mean really do I need to be this nervous and make myself a wreck when it's quite possible I won't even see this person at all.

Awesome Sunny...good to hear a happy ending...

currently a friend of mine has a same issue as her daughter broke up the contact to her and she is missing her and her granddaughter where her daughter refuses her to let her see...she is in a very good relationship with her son but with him being in the army she is very anxious to lose him, not just because he is in the army but also because she feels that she would have nobody left if he would not survive due to the relationship with her daughter being so bad. I really hope that she never ever gets bad news regarding him, as far too many family receive sometimes...and that at some point maybe her daughter finds her way back to her or at least accepts to tolerate her mum to see her granddaughter.

I live on a slab so I get a lot of spiders. I spend the summer with a can of raid and a fly swatter to get those suckers dead. Shop vacs work well too <nodsnodsnodsnodsnods>
