I think I'd rather have too many people than too many ants! Jaysus they are everywhere, I keep having to shoo them off my keyboard and leap out of my bed freaking cuz they are crawlinggggggggg on me. Ew ew ew ew ew. Omg just ew. Giant black carpenter ants and NOTHING seems to get rid of them. I have ant bait all over the house and smeared it around the entire foundation. Ants. Creepy crawly tickly ants but man am I glad these types don't bite.

I don't think carpenter ants go for sugar, but I will try. Damn they are fast! Last night I had a super giant disgusting, super fast SPIDER on my bathroom floor. I was peeing and for obvious reasons couldn't flee (flea?) the scene but.. I did have a can of Scrubbing Bubbles within reach. So there I am, peeing out the 2 beers I drank (non-drinker so I was tippy buzzed on the potty) frantically spraying this stuff on the devious and deadly spider. The foam covered it but I could still see its icky legs splayed out and wiggling. More Scrubbing Bubbles. I flush, do my very best leap across the bathroom to the safety of the hallway still holding that can of spray. A bit more foam and I felt safe for the night. Yay me! Killer of arachnids! This morning when I got up.. it was gone. [8\|] There was only a sticky puddle of Scrubbing Bubble residue to mark the spot. Now there is an angry spider somewhere in my house, possibly in my bed. sniffles Ah life in the country.

RE: Ants I've heard that if you take liquid dish soap (Dawn, etc) and put a line around windows and doors, they get stuck... You just have to decide if 1) that's where they're coming from and 2) if you wanna scrub up icky dead ants... Also, I've heard a line of chalk works, too. Might be an old wives' tale, tho... talcum powder will also work to keep ants from coming outside, inside. sprinkle baby or talcum powder on your doorsills, window sills... and around any opening.

Re: Ants Powdered Comet works well. Put it where ever you see them coming in. They track it back to the nest, get rid of the ones in the house and the nest. Have ant problems in the summer here. Hope it works for you. Good Luck.
