i love it that my mom's surgery went well and she's home recuperating.  she's going to be 65 this year, doesn't seem possible because i think of her as being my age.  she's got health problems that are much worse than mine but she keeps her attitude positive and she's happy every day she wakes up.  we got some bad news about a close family friend this week and it made me that much more aware of the possibilities that exist and the inevitable.  she's my best friend and i'd be lost without her.  i love it that she's here.

i love it when i get to visit my father and pick up some favorites foods from Philadelphia, too.  The long drive home gave me a chance to think a lot about what i want to do with the next phase of my life.  It looks more and more important to be closer to my father in his remaining years.  Since things are not working out where i am now, at least i have options open to me.

I love it that the head injury/work comp madness is soon to be at an end!!  I was cleared by the ER to return to work Sat am, but nothing can happen on a weekend, you know.  Only one or two more hoops to jump through, like finding me a truck to drive since they gave away the one I was in.  *sigh*

Ok, so I got an interview with the local cable provider set up today
if I get the job it will give me enough money to get the other certifications I need to land a hot satellite job somewhere more free and sunnier
The interview is for tomorrow afternoon, wish me luck
