light a candle. watch the flame. try to empty your head of everything but the flame. then pull threads out one at a time and deal with them. or sleep. sleep works for me. quiets EVERYTHING in the head for a few hours!

Failing that, I'm usually most alert in the wee hours and tend to think clearest. If those don't work I light up a cigar and that usually does the trick.

My first post to the 'I love it when...' thread is vanilla, but.... I love it when my 3 grandchildren go home happy and loving from a sleepover, we had warm porridge with soft brown sugar for breakfast, cooked blueberry muffins and watched bugs bunny cartoon dvd in front of a warm heater on a cold rainy day and ended with being hugged and kissed and told I am the best grandma ever...[sm=iamqueen.gif] I also love it that I got my first cat in my life today, she is 8 months old and needed a home, I have renamed her from Louie (she was mistaken as being a he when a kitten) to Lolly though. She is ginger stripes with a pure white blaze down her face, throat and chest and four white socks, she is a very pretty cat and is already jumping into my lap for a stroke. I have had a great day today.[sm=kiss.gif]

Then her balls POPPed out and we were all shocked. After that we named him Sam.

i love that i took "thing 2" on the bike trail and we stopped at the park, i was trying to keep up with her on the monkey bars and quickly realized what it means to be 42 as opposed to 10. i sat for a minute and she said are you hot miss christine? i said yes i'm hot. she said, well we all KNOW you're haaaawt, but are you warm? i love that she makes me laugh every day, even when i don't feel like laughing much. [:)]

Shelly! Pics of teh kitteh!! Sugar.. when I was a kid we got WIllie... who proceeded to produce a litter of 6... and then was renamed (officially) Wilhelmina (of course, willie, for shortLOL) Christine.. T2 is wise beyond her years :)

I love waking up next to my honey every morning. I love that my oldest son is actually going to graduate from high school this week. That boy was giving me an ulcer. I love that the whole family loves it here in PA. I love that Bob's brother brought not one, but two laptops over for us yesterday and a router and hooked everything up and showed us how to use them. All this after fixing the sound card on the desktop computer so we can actually hear things on it again! What a thoughtful and incredibly sweet man. I love that my Bob's family all seem really nice and have welcomed me and my family with open arms. I love that we have a new dryer now and no longer have to trek down to the laundromat. I love that Bob finally got to feel the baby-to-be kicking. I love Graham Central Station ice cream from Bruster's. I never thought I would find anything I liked as much as Chocolate Peanut Butter from Baskin Robbins. I was seriously having withdrawals since the nearest Baskin Robbins is about half an hour away! I love my life.

I love that Little Og is back from his holidays! He's got a few schoolgirls in trouble from their teacher by asking for kisses and cuddles... I'm sure he knows what he's doing. He's more opinionated than ever before. He really knows how to speak his mind these days - tantrums aplenty. I'm hoping that doesn't carry on, I certainly intend to put a stop to it. .

I love that I got into a most serious conversation with the cub yesterday and brought up a subject which could be a deal breaker and asked him a question which causes him to really think over before answering.
