What I've not been saying is that the last couple of weeks have been hard.  My aunt had some minor surgery but has been in some pain and I've been taking care of her.  In the midst of all this, two days ago we took my uncle to the hospital... well the ambulance did.  He was having chest pain and other symptoms indicative of a heart attack.  We've spent three days at the hospital.  He had a little of this and a little of that and is now fit as a fiddle, and we are bringing him home tomorrow.

*this is why that ambulance accident really shook me.  It could have been my uncle in that thing.  It hit so close to home.  We prayed for the folks involved of course, but we were also grateful it wasn't us.

I've been so glad that I've had this place to go to and be silly, flirty, forget all the icky that was going on.  DV was wonderful last night talking to me as I was low on energy and needed some understanding ears.  *shout out to DV here*.

So, I love that I have you all, I love that my uncle is good, and I love that my aunt is healing.

Now if I can only find a way to stay awake to enjoy them and to drive..yep, thats important.

Sunflower seeds in shell or gorp and satellite radio.  Bar none.  This coming from a over the road truck driver of about 6 years.  The sunflower seeds in it's plethora of flavors whilst yummy, keeps your mouth busy cracking them.  Gorp, my homemade trail mix has a good balance of sugar and protiens and again, keeps the mouth busy.  Satellite radio, well, you never go out of range and has a lot better selection of music of all genres, comedy, talk, sports, whatever you want. 

How is Bloomington btw?  I used to live in Loogootee on the other side of NSWC Crane, and occasionally came up there to do back to school shopping...

i noticed the other day that our county library had books on something like an MP3.  It's called Playaway. They come as a little player with earbuds and its already installed on the player.  i'm not sure if you can play it in a car. 
 
i think books on CD would still work best in a car.

Personally I would be a little...okay a lot....squicked to use ear buds that someone else had used. The books on CD sound better anyway

Status: offline 		You can use your own earbuds or headphones. 
 
It's useful for folks who don't have a portable CD player or for taking places you wouldn't want to take your CD player - like the beach or hiking.

 LoL had the same thought earlier...keep wondering if at some point my postman might bring a token book so that I can swap them against...well...whatever would be on offer

I love that finally my throat clears up properly thanks to the antibiotics I got for my tooth...Oh gosh I love it so damn much after 5 weeks where it barely left me completely...maybe in the future I should always go for a tooth extraction, just to get my antibiotics again for a nasty cold
