[:D]

that is what thouse harness' are for! they have cute monkey ones even.

My son was a hip monkey.. so I didnt have to worry about him going any where. "Attachment parenting" *Really* worked. LOL

I am thinking about not doing so much of that this time... he didnt know what his legs were for untill he was much older.

i love it when i can make an old dishtowel and a face cloth into something that may save me roughly $50 in the long run, will actually get some use, and will keep me from having to buy three more of the same item.

now if i can only learn to handsew so that it doesn't look like i just learned (i didnt i learned almost a decade ago) i'll be all set.

It sounds like a riddle.

haha no i have an...obsession with certain reusable feminine products right now and i was really bored last night. i just didn't think people would really want to know how interested i am in building up a stash of reusable things lol.

Ahhh... Fairy Hammocks! If I wasnt the Mississippi on my moon time.. I would make some.
http://www.weenotions.info/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=30

There are also Mentral cups... they take some getting used to.. and it is usualy a once in a years and years purchase.

I hope this helps give you some ideas on sewing!

Gwyn

Some women do not want any bleached products, or anything with chemicals.

Pads and tampons ( which are worse) have been bleached and have tons of chemicals in them. With fabric you are not only putting them into landfills, and in some cases to be flushed and cleaned out of the water supply. Some women have very sensitive skin as well.

Fairy Hammocks are like pads.. and the Diva cup is like a tampon almost. It takes some getting used to so you dont tip it when removing it.. but it is waaaaaaaaaaaay better for you then tampons.

Gwyn,
Undercover Hippy chick [sm=hippie.gif] dontchyaknow!

If you read "Sister Moon Lodge" it explains lots about moon time, and healthy ways of doing things and making it an empowering time instead of a curse.

It unfortunately is out of print so you have to find a used copy, or find it at the library.

*gaurds her copy*

bleached products make me sick a lot, and in the long run resuables are cheaper anyway. it's more of a hit up front, but most are made to last close to three years are more so they more than pay for themselves in the end. and they're more comfortable.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: I love it when (8/11/2008 6:49:30 PM)

I love Gwyn, so I forgive her for reminding me that Sister Moon Lodge even exists in the universe.

Francine, who has aggravation, but never a curse.

christine1 -> RE: I love it when (8/11/2008 9:05:34 PM)

I LOVE this weather!!!  Absolutely LOVE IT!

GreedyTop -> RE: I love it when (8/12/2008 7:19:19 AM)

I wish that weather would come here.. *sigh* the electric bill is INSANE

CalifChick -> RE: I love it when (8/12/2008 8:46:27 AM)

I don't want to say this too loudly, because it makes no sense to me... most of July was over 100 degrees here, and I just got my electric bill for July.  I have central air conditioning, and I like it cool in my apartment.  My bill was... $70.

Cali

GreedyTop -> RE: I love it when (8/12/2008 8:49:25 AM)

we haven't hit ninety yet. i'm not complaining, i'm allergic to heat so the cooler the better but the weather guys don't quite know what to say about it.

GreedyTop -> RE: I love it when (8/12/2008 9:18:08 AM)

You're not that far from me, Fluffy and we're having the coolest, wettest summer on record here in our area. However, it's supposed to change around the 23rd of the month when it starts drying out and getting warmer. Then we're supposed to have a drier, warmer than average September. [&o]  Darn it.

Now if they could just tell me what the weather is going to be like at the end of October.....
