yay for all the happy stuff!

I love that the juancas board is back up and running...  FourQ worked his butt off to get it back.. *hugs him* If you have any trouble with it, let him know.  Don't be freaked by every post showing as unread, that was unavoidable.

Well before signing back in he did advise to not post on any thread with zero post which I noticed was all of them, so I will stay clear till I get a get go from him.  This problem has made for an endless amount of work on not only the forum but other things he had on the server.

Have I mentioned lately that I just love my speical Q friend!!!! (note the 4) LOL

I love it when I wake up I hear my girl in the tub splashing.. and have the wonderful idea of pouncing on her in the water.... Mmmmmm.....

I love it when she then wanders around the house in just cute white panties.. and a t-shirt for me. My Gods... I am not going to get a damn thing done ( Except for her)

LOL...Luck is needed though I will admit the Plumber is hot and has his pants pulled up. We have already removed the tile walls, chiseled out the floor tiles to fit the new tub..gotten the tub, the replacement tiles, mastic, grout and tools and green boards, the fixtures, ancillary hardware, new sink and cabinet. The Plumber for $620-$640 comes in, pulls the old tub (which rusted through) all the fixtures (sink, toilet) puts in the new and leaves Buttah and me the clean up and the beginning of the retiling...(insulation, etc.). Not a bad racket plumbers got going. We will be removing the course of tiles from the Master bathroom that he marks so he can get to the pipes..why us? We can remove them without breaking them..We recycled over half of the original tiles from the bathroom thanks to our techniques.

poenkitten ( I know he planned this..Just KNOW IT)

Ooooh sounds like fun! I love DIY projects! Love em!

I know you know this.. but..... Be sure you chose a good vapor barrier. Esp with us being in the eternal suana that is Florida. They have this orange one with bumps on it... if you put it on the walls pre tile and floor over lapping the seams by a good deal.... You will be so so happy. It helps any tiling job. It keeps the inherant moisture that is in a bathroom away from the walls. It will also cut down on mold and mildew. ( a huge blessing in and of it's self)

Have fun! Wish I could be there to help! ( as helpful as I am in this state... basicaly wave my fingers in a managerial way and sip on iced tea.) LOL

Gwyn,
Yes.. Home Depot was my Mecca.

poenkitten (wondering if Asher would fit in her pocket)

oh i SOOOOO like the thought of my very own pocket-Asher too! just bring him out with needed, add water - cuz he's even hawter when wet, and when he's "dehydrated" again, put him away until next time.

Sorry to objectify you, Asher, but some people are into objectification.

sirsholly -> RE: I love it when..... (2/26/2009 11:21:49 AM)

i LOVE this!

But the sad part first:
There was a farm in this area that had about 30 abandoned and abused horses. It was so bad many could not be saved. The local Humane Society put out the call for local farms to foster these aminals and bring them back to health so they can be adopted. I called and was told there is a HUGE waiting list of those wanting to foster as well as adopt!!
Every horse will get a pre-screened new home!!!

Gwynvyd -> RE: I love it when..... (2/26/2009 11:31:03 AM)

Oh Holly......

It is so sad the toll this economy is taking on our Equestrian friends.

So many neglected, and abondoned horses out there.

I am so happy to hear the community stepped up to help them.

How people let it get that bad I have no idea. I would sell or give away those I could not support first, before seeing them mistreated.

*sighs*

I miss having a horse so bad when I hear things like this.

I would *love* to adopt one from the PMU farms up in Canada. *sighs*

But I have to feed my family first.

Gwyn

Wonderful Holly...now if we could just get people to adopt the wild Mustangs..they are only charging $125.00 per to adopt them, but there just aren't enough people who will take in these living breathing beauties of our past. It takes patience to turn them into riding horses but wild born and survivors of some of the harshest land and weather run rings around their heavily domesticated brethren in making do and heartiness. http://www.blm.gov/wo/st/en/prog/wild_horse_and_burro/adoption_of_wild_horses.html . I wish I had the space to give at least one a good home. Hugs to the LO...

TJ & I volunteered here...www.defhr.org  and we fostered many goats & because they were penned up w/the sheep & pot bellied pigs, we intherited them too :))  What a GREAT farm but also very sad too.

**Eta, the good thing about fostering here was that the animal stayed on the farm. We were just asked to visit weekly. I always brought treats for my guys/gals...carrots & apples. Man, were we bumrushed when I brought the bag of goodies out!!!  If you're interested in fostering but don't have space, ask if the animal can stay on the farm & you can visit. It worked wonders for TJ! I was wondering WHAT to get him for his 5th birthday that noone else would think of, then I thought.............a goat!**
