just a note...We are in negotiation with several organizations seeking a grant,Horses are Diane passion and we have room here to save a few..Many think horses are easy keepers thats a fallacy it takes alot of love and hard work...we will let you'll know hoe it goes..BH

I used to tell folks at the Station that they shouldn't be surprised if they hear a dispatch go out...."Injured person from a goat" because Mimi (goat) & Travis (sheep) used to head butt me for attention and carrots! Travis knocked me into the side of the barn one day, talk about having the wind knocked out of you!!  When Mimi would headbutt me, she'd leaved nice welts, bruises & cuts 'cuz she had some LONG horns!! Good times!!

The funniest story............(to me anyway).....one time TJ was chasing one of the sheep--Pepper --BEAUTIFUL black & brown coat w/DEEP PENETRATING eyes--& I was raking up the "pellets" when I hear a scream.............I turned around and I saw Pepper chasing TJ! The farmhands were giving a tour at that time and unfortunately Pepper caught TJ, headbutted him against his back & down TJ went!  Unhurt, but crying of course.  I had to explain to the folks who chose THAT MOMENT to visit the pen we were in that the animals are not mean, Pepper was just being "playful"! 
Ever since then, everytime we went back, Pepper would head toward TJ with a mean look in his eyes. TJ always had to stay near me when we were in the pen otherwise Pepper would have initiated another "catch me if you can" game!

I love it that Master and I will celebrate three years together on Monday!
 
I love that He'll take time off from work to go with me to doctor's appts just to hold my hand and be there for me.
 
I feel more loved than I have ever known and I worship the ground He walks on (and He'll be the first person to tell you that! lol!).
 
and I love that He added "Resident 11" to His sig line [:D]

*grins* I'd send it, but I'm thinking Asher'd be a hell of a lot more fun than a pocket programmer.


Is there any way you can trick your brain to seeing it as an assignment rather than a test? I have done that before a time or two and it took off some of the pressure. Might not be something you can do, but it's worth a shot.

We have had a couple of places like that down here, one recently was run by a woman in a wheelchair and who was unable to care for them properly. The SPCA stepped in and she was charged with neglect. The part that got to me is the judge returned the majority of the horses to her, fined her and ordered the SPCA to monitor her and ensure she had enough feed and gave them proper care. There are also breeders of dogs who should be made to live in the filthy conditions they make their dogs live in. The economy tanking contributes to some of this, but, there is no excuse in my eyes. If you can't take care of them, let them go to someone who can and will.

Bounty blessings on you and Diane. No animal is easy to care for or cheap, but if you are going to do it, do it right or give them up. I suspect you two will do them right and I know they will find good homes with you.

If and when Fox and I get our own home farther out I fully plan on finding myself a couple of horses to adopt. We also plan on checking for shelter dogs and outdoor cats as well. If I am going to have space, it is going to be fur filled space dang it.

I am so happy for you, for this blessing you've been given and I wish you and them all the happiness you can handle.

As for me, I'm not saying never, believe me. I did a few years ago when certain things were very fresh and raw, but have worked through the initial stuff and a lot of the really bad stuff. I do want a relationship, I just, at this point, I can't handle one, don't have the time and means to build one and it wouldn't be fair to that person for me to try it. I am more likely at this point to chase them away after bluntly telling them I can't and why because of the whys. I'm not saying I have to be totally fixed and perfect cause hell I will never be that, but there are certain things I need to see to before even thinking of getting involved again.
