Call the cops. Someone will be in the area. They will have bolt cutters. Big ones.

I've got four close relatives who are police officers, two of them female, and they've all released people from bondage gone bad a million times. They don't care what you do in your bedroom, as long as you call, rather than waiting for injury or death to occur. One of them helped me move house. Only comment on his part was asking to make sure I wasn't into breath play, 'cuz he hates finding people dead from that, and didn't want to find me or my girl that way. I said "no, we don't do that," and that's all there was to it then, or since.

Health,
al-Aswad.

If you are still reading this, rope can be dangerous too if tied incorrectly, and bondage from rope can cause nerve damage.

Just to re state what others have said, this does not need a ER visit, I would have gone to the local cop shop  or fire hall first, they more than likely have experience at this.  AS well someone suggested a locksmith,  another good option.

If you call 911 you get a tiered response, fire police and ambulance- this can lead to a lot of explaining the next day to nosy neighbors,  never mind having to explain to a bunch of people in uniform what you have done with eventual reports written.

If there is imminent damage then the ER or 911 is a definite call, if not then think of other options.

I am glad you were finally able to get them off.  The next step - throw the useless cuffs out unless you just want to use them as a prop or decoration in your home.

I support the fire department, I know the cutters in emergency can't deal with steel, soft metals like gold/silver yes as they are ring cutters. for all hard steels and alloys the firies have the cutting gear needed.

Actually my friend just bought a set, so I shall investigate further.

Once again, thank you all.

*I* would have gone to the nearest Dunkin Donuts or Krispy Kreme, found a sympathetic officer, and asked for help.

Actually...Dunkin'Doughnuts is the preferred coffee shop!
Trust me on this one....the officers would be able to help and I'm sure could have offered sympathy!

Fire Department would be the best.  They'll do it for free and you can all have a good laugh about it.  ER is expensive and they have no sense of humor.

Glad it's taken care of though.

And we weren't even playing! He just got them out and put them on - knowing that they stick and that we weren't going to use them any more!

Hehe Lynn.. thats what I was thinking the whole time I was reading too.....Think I will stash some bolt cutters in my closet. I have edge clippers but I usually only use them if my acrylic nails need to come off!

But all you need to cut rope in case of emergency is a knife, a rescue hook or decent emt shears. So it does safe you the trouble of going to the FD or the emergency room to have it cut

neoprene and velcro cuffs for me.  Daddy has professional handcuffs, but after looking at my wrists he said they will NEVER touch my skin.

Just a thought - although cuffs have a certain sensual appeal, there's any number of ways you can really do a number on yourself with the things, as ScottyDon't pointed out. It doesn't take all that much, either - the last time I played with those things, my sub was a squirmer and ended up with a numb thumb for almost a week. Really Really consider going in for some leather restraints - preferabbly a couple inches wide to spread the tension over a wider area...

This whole thread has me considering buying a pair of bolt cutters for things like this. XD

This whole thread has me re-considering buying real police handcuffs!!!  (but they have pink ones! damn!)............I still want to get the flexible restraints that you cut off (yea, I know, just glorified zip ties...still drools...) -
http://www.galls.com/category2.html?assort=general_catalog&cat=3025
and they have "reliable restraint cutters" too ;)
