But I moved from a much more liberal city to this place to be with him, so he understands how hard it is for me to keep my mouth shut.

This will make you laugh- couple of years ago I was in Texas, and had just met a group of people from there and all of a sudden I said "Well, ya got ten minutes" and one of the guys said "ten minutes? for what?" I said "to get all the yankee jokes out of your system, ya got ten minutes then after that it's on!" He cracked up and said "where ya from" i say "Oregon, and I was gonna get a don't mess with Oregon tshirt made but ran outa time" he say's "Oregon? Hell that's just northern Texas, it's all Texas to ME till ya hit Seskatchewan" I cracked up and He announced "I like this guy".......Fun group of people down there, some of the warmest people I've been around. NOTE- Do not try to out beer drink a Texan........whew!! One of the worst hang overs of my life was there....

I absolutly Loved living in Fort Worth, because you have so many different types of people and they all have a laid back, to each his own attitude.  But we now live in a christian college town, so everything is SUPER uptight.  We are in general, a really cool bunch of people.

Yeah Texans are alright with me, I'm sure there are assholes nestled about just like anywhere, but my experience was positive. I got to experience true southern hospitality, I thought it was just a saying, turns out it's real and I am a sweet tea FIEND.
