As for Moongoddess?  I simply read what moongoddess says -- in her posts and her profile.  Her dislike of fat, men and medicine is not anything you have to guess at.

For the love of God, the woman has eleven posts ... is it really helpful to slam someone like this? You're a pretty smart guy. Do you really think posts like this are getting your point across?

I was replying to the OP's question.  I just intensely dislike people with hidden agendae.  But fair point, miss.  I'll consider the subject dropped.  I'll admit I can get a bit fixated on things at times...its that testosterone induced focused attention *smile*.

"It's the same thing," he said.

Well to me when you said 'a raft' of medical problems that seemed to me you were stating I had a lot of them which I do not, I know my medical problems need to be dealt with and are except for my bi-polar my insulin resistance is being treated and in doing so is helping me shed the excess pounds. My bi-polar is the trickest one of my problems and it takes time fixing. I have no way to afford medical insurance but I do have a doctor that has a sliding scale fee and I have been going to here I just have to get the money before I can go, they won't bill me for it. And I would not take a drug that wasn't prescribed to me...well not anymore anyway...(hey I experiemented some hehe I dont anymore) I certainly under any circumstances would not apply a gel that wasn't prescribed to me in that area....don't want to hurt my self in anyway if at all possible.

I am guessing you have checked into this:

Well, as I mentioned above he has disabilities mostly pertaining to his bi-polar and a learning disability that so far I haven't been able to find a doctor to tell me where he can get tested for said disability. I know he has one his past and present show so much that I know its not normal...but yet no way of finding out know that he is no longer in school seems like a crock of crap to me but I could be wrong lol..I really need to talk to his therapist about this...

This is where a good social services dept comes into play. Please ask your Dr. for a reference...

So why would anyone with more than 1/4 of a brain recommend it here?

Presumably because it actually does the job for many, and the side effects (e.g. the bits about teratogenicity) are known, along with the stuff that the doctor should be keeping an eye on, like virilization. And because it's a heck of a lot more sensible than using a tube of Androgel, given that the dose becomes a lot more predictable. And because women should ideally avoid D2-agonists, which would be a better first-line choice for men (given that testosterone supplementation in men will cause SHBG downregulation at most doses, and testosterone downregulation at higher doses).

BUT HEY...lets recommend it to this poor girl who already has evidenced a raft of physical and psychological problems.

Psychological problems interact bidirectionally with the situation one is in. Her lack of sex drive is causing problems for her. Those may in turn affect other things. Regular sex has positive effects on mental and physical health in women. Bipolar disorder happens to be tricky enough to medicate. Hormones aren't as tricky as the alternatives.

Health,
al-Aswad.

My ex was un Wellbutrin and it definitely killed his sex drive. Perhaps it doesn't have the same down side with women.

my old neighbor went thru medical school ..first project was to monitor the monthly cycle of a male and female on a daily basis for 30 days... Is the starting point for all first year med students...

create a sexual calendar...rate it on scale 1-10 and match your montly calendar...
Try mutual masterbation on your day off... A sub came by the other day and she gets off watching my pleasure... She has some medical problems so enjoys giving me a BJ...she also does colon massage for me... She is bi-polar leaning toward mania not depression...

endorphins keep her more in balance.. have trained her in tit torture...I leave it up to her when she wants Tit torture...you have plenty of advise on meds will not go there...
have found bi-polar women who have zones of intelligence i work on those areas...they love acknowledgement of these special zones...

sometimes I have a bi-polar woman bring a friend so there is not the orgasm pressure on her... she can enjoy sexuality but the friend provides the hard orgasms... fun is had by all...
we have open relationships ...

sleep paterns - many people have sleep patern problems...

Stress - focus on doing all household chores and errands during workdays...save the days off to relax...

Wellbutrin definately reved my engine and most likely killed my marriage. It needed to  be killed. I loves the stuff!

The stress isn't caused by me having to do things on my days off or the days I work. My husband doesn't work..I am the sole breadwinner. He does things at home he runs the errands on my days off I relax and spend time online...the stress comes from me being the only one bringing in income right now and having to pay all the bills and mostly not having enough to keep my head above water.

Well, for one we live in a very small community and without a GED it is hard to get a job. Plus when he meets new people he gets nervous and jokes about things that aren't really appropriate. He has a learning disability and to be honest I don't think his mind is in the place it should be....I don't think he is getting the maturity most of us get when we grow up....its very hard to explain.

I am assuming you calculated based upon a household of 2 adults...

I might suggest seriously checking  into vocational rehab or some other program that would provide some support for your husband...
vocational reha etc will provide him with a chance for socilization...he will not learn how to become more socially adept by staying at home.
If you can find some sort of assistance it will be less stress on you...which will help your sense of welbeing overall.

In response to KiwiSub:  I had NO IDEA that my x had another wife somewhere!!!  And he treated her the same way he treated me!!!  lol

Yes, in reading all of these posts thusfar, it could be a sign of depression, a sign that things may not be balanced between you and your spouse, a hormone imbalance, side-effect of medication.  There are so many areas that can affect a woman's drive.

The problem that I had at one point (besides trying to be Superwoman and having a SO that was no help) was that the medical professionals I consulted were pretty dismissive of my issues.  Find a doc that will LISTEN and help you determine if there is a medical reason for your low sex drive.  Best of luck to you!!

He can't get his GED when he can't remember how to do the work he has to do to take the tests. Here you have to take tests and classes before taking the GED test..he has been in classes for over a year and still can't take the test because his scores on the practice tests are way too low and no reason in taking the test unless there is a good chance you will pass.
