ORIGINAL: MissMorrigan I'm fairly healthy, I exercise daily and have a good balanced diet of fruits and vegetables daily, along with very small quantities of meat (never red meats, only white such as chicken/turkey), very little dairy (usually in my tea, although sometimes I have milk in porridge if I have that for breakfast). I'll have whole grain bread every two to three days, so not a daily thing for me and yet, just lately I've been getting a painfully bloated upper abdomen. Even if I drink a small glass of water I feel bloated and uncomfortable. Anyone else have something similar? I will go to my GP and have this checked out as soon as I am able to book some time off, however, in the meantime, I wondered if anyone had experienced something similar and could offer advice. Yes I have a similar problem but much improving,My internist told me that diabetes can cause a problem with good healthy BMS..I am on a good diet with lots of fiber but have started last week adding a table spoon of miralax into my coffee about 3 times a week and its working well.It used to be a prescription only but now can be bought over the counter...It works well but would seek your doctors advice on this matter.. Miralax works great and it's safe to use everyday...when I was in the hospital all the girls were taking either Colace or Miralax everyday LOL I can't wait for Miralax to come in generic form so I can buy it OTC without spending a ton. It's so expensive! I use Colace everyday now...and it isn't working anymore. grrr.
