For a fleeting moment ... I was worried MsVenus LOL! Though it poses a question ... what the hell would We all do if CM closed down? This is the best site that I have found by a LONG way!! OK Roll call news: GOOD: Am talking to a sub (from CM of course) who lives in Sydney (about 3 hours flight away) ... he sounds really promising! Both of U/us are trying to be low key till W/we meet in a couple of weeks ... but W/we have covered lots of topics in everyday life and bdsm and he really does sound compatible. He has served once before so I have reduced fears of his going "poof" like so many others! At the moment he is travelling a bit in his job, but is hoping to be rostered a few days off mid-April so he can make a first visit here. W/we'll do all the safe stuff, he knows who will be his safe call, he can stay at the local pub and mostly it will be a getting-to-know-you and can-you-learn-how-to-do-some-household-chores-as-I-want-them-done meeting! Maybe an initial light play session if all feels right. Fingers crossed!! Master and I did Our first rock gig in March and it went brilliantly, the audience were up and dancing from the first song and We got asked to do more! However, as places here book way more ahead than We've experienced elsewhere, Our next gig isn't till Mothers Day in May. Several others have liked the demo CD though and intend to include Us in their next round of bookings. At Easter, I placed 3rd in the folksong category of the State Eisteddfod (music competition) which was fun as I was the only "natural" folksinger there ... the other 22 competitors were trained voices. I think My choice of song in Serbian and English was a tad surprising to them, since the others seemed to think "folk" starts and ends with the British Isles. I was chuffed though ... and Master and I blew the prize money on dinner out! BAD: Master has been diagnosed with Ross River Virus ... a mosquito-borne disease which causes pronounced fatigue and mobile joint aches and pains. 2/3 of cases get a rash, but He didn't, which is why I didn't pick it, though I felt He'd been fighting something off since January and only finally got Him to the Dr. (Hard for subs even if they are also Dommes to order Master to the Dr!). The blood tests showed He'd had it a while but it can be quite cyclic in its effects. The only treatment is rest and multivitamins ... He is mostly managing to get to the afternoon and then takes a 2-4 hour "nap" ... He really flakes out! He's finding it frustrating as there's a lot He wants to be doing ... one day this week His extremely rarely seen AB came out and threw a bit of a tantrum about having to take a nap LOL! Nah, actually I think it was just sheer frustration but He sounded cute protesting in baby talk! We're just learning to work around it, and so while financially We could use more gigs, it's probably as well that We won't be overloaded for the next couple of months as the heavy work of carting and setting up the PA largely lands on Him! Anyways, in the words of an old song, "We're still a-living, so everything's OK!" The weather is changing from a wet summer to a pleasant sunny dry autumn, all blue skies today. Beautiful! Also looking forward to hearing of the arrival of the mini-Domme for My southern compatriot MsC ... hope all goes well! And best wishes to all those who have collared someone recently ... and hi to the new ladies! Maam Jay aka violet[A]
