I have to disagree with your hypothesis. You've ignored some basic observational data. Humans, as a species, are capable of gratuitous violence with little or no provacation. This capability is shared by all members, all genders and sub-classifications, without exception. Some members of the human race may choose to limit their violent behavior, but all are capable of it.
Similarly, most individual humans are prone to violence against challengers than against supplicants. While your hypothesis is technically correct, in that these traits are applicable to men, the underlying premise is false because it does not also attribute these same traits to women. Humans possess the potential for violence and that potential is most often directed toward adversaries who pose a direct challenge.
