ORIGINAL: thetammyjo Try, Conversio Virium -- its a Columbia University group and at least when I helped found it it was open to people outside of the campus as well as college students, staff and faculty. You so rock. *BLUSH* Being a student (still but not for long hopefully) I can fully understand mercxi's frustrations in finding organizations for people under 21. I mean, really, the age to consent to sex is generally 16-18 in most states isn't it? But I would also encourage mercxi to go to events like munches and TES and other clubs even if you are the youngest and even if you can't "become a member". These events will still let you in and you'll meet lots of people and you can learn a lot. I know (in the general sense of the word) the founder of the TNG groups (The Next Generation-- for folks between 18-35) and he went to TES a lot before he could become a member. He learned a lot, got known, and then had the skills and knowledge to reach out to others. Plus he found partners there.
