Hey, the Belgians make the best damn pomme frittes Ive ever had anywhere. And you can buy them right on the street from vendors in a newspaper cone served with the best home made mayonnaise I've ever had too. ,  At least ya gotta give 'em that !  Yea, ok, I flagged myself. Just sayin'...

The real problem is the international financial system, not that of any one country. The credit crunch was startred in the US by bad practice but no oner questioned what was happening in the US or the debt they were buying because profits were big and the hedge funds who were packaging bad debt and selling it off as good debt would leave the banks holding the baby. You can go through a whole series of different types of financial products that similarly lack regulation and so are full of dodgey practices. Governmetns don't say anything because they take credit fot the boom such dodgey practices produce. Of course when the boom goes bust, the governments blame international finance in other countries but most of the time its their turning a blind eye that allows the moral dishonesty and in many cases criminal dishonesty.
