I dont like phone contact til after we meet. Then I give my number. I dont want some crazy having my number. I always set up a meet quickly. Within 3 weeks.. I set it up near me so if they are a no show, I havent put myself out. If we are both comfortable then numbers are exchanged. That protocol has served me well.

*quick reply*

A phone call is a must for me as well as a couple photos before i will meet anyone online.  i tend to get good or bad vibes over the phone when i talk to someone, so i trust my gut and its never lead me wrong yet.  You can never be too safe though..but the *67 is a great way if using a land line to protect Yyourself.  i give out my cell being its all i have and that cant be traced.  i believe you can tell a lot about how well you might get along with a person over the phone imo.

Nice to know I'm not the only one who prefers meeting first to phoning first! :) Thanks.

I worry about a crazy getting hold of my number and having to change it. I think I've definitely decided to get a prepaid cell and use that for this sort of thing. Simplest and easiest solution for me. :)
