poplolly -> RE: Do you "feel" your age? (4/10/2008 7:39:24 PM)

I ask the same question:  What is 45 supposed to feel like?  Or look like, for that matter.  All I know is that I look pretty damned good for a grandmother!

I'm just very grateful for Vitamin V.  Sorta levels the playing field, don't cha think?

lol... Well, I fully expected some men to chime in here on what they want a 45 year old woman to feel like...

I guess men old enough to like how women that age feel might have slower... reflexes.  [;)]

i hardly ever feel my age, i have been told that i don't look my age, or act it.  The only thing i noticed as i grew older is that there were many more good looking Women across the spectrum of ages than i had noticed when i was younger.
i usually just smile and nod, knowing that Old Age and Experience will beat Youthful Enthusiasm every time.

apettiger -> RE: Do you "feel" your age? (4/10/2008 8:14:40 PM)

some days i feel like a 9 year old playing house, and on others i feel like i have been doing this since dinosaurs walked the earth.
most people think i am much younger than i really am.
but i never "feel" my actual age.

Most people tell me that I don't look much over 80.  Maybe that is because I ride my bicycle a lot since I am too cheap to put gasoline in my motorcycle.

I don't know... how's a 45 year old woman supposed to feel?  [;)]

heartcream -> RE: Do you "feel" your age? (4/11/2008 1:14:45 AM)

Tonight coming home from work, I was thinking about this. I realized when I turned 18 I cried and sobbed hysterically. 'It" all felt over somehow. I was pretty nervous and insecure feeling when I turned 40. I am turning 50 and it doesnt feel like a problem even though I am older than I ever was.

It seems to me the whole aging thing is an ever changing and evolving thing. People look better and better even though they are older.

I find I need things like vitamins and epsom salt baths to help me iron the kinks out (no pun intended.)[sm=ubanana.gif]

I think getting older is amazing. The whole aging crap I could easily do without.

i sometimes feel my age, for some reason i tend to feel 'older' in winter & younger in summer... wonder if its a weather thing?! lol

hydranmenace -> RE: Do you "feel" your age? (4/11/2008 1:50:21 AM)

Im 28 and am typically met with stares of disbelief whenever I have to present my ID for anything. I was even 'detained' once because my license apparently looked 'suspicious'. I just think its funny, and I do generally act younger than I am.
Im in better shape now than I ever was in highschool, and to be honest my stamina and sex drive are probably higher now too.
If anyone in Michigan is interested, click my profile and you might get to see how I feel...

heartcream -> RE: Do you "feel" your age? (4/11/2008 2:17:33 AM)

Yeah, Vitamin D is one of those vitamins I take to help me through the day, especially in winter. 1,000 iu per day and 2,000 on those days that feel too dark in whatever way.

RCdc -> RE: Do you "feel" your age? (4/11/2008 3:25:15 AM)

I dont feel my age, im 21 im meant to be vomiting outside pubs and taking lots of drugs and all that sillyness which really doesnt interest me, i prefer to stay in with a bottle of wine and good conversation but then i think that I was born the mental age of 30

When I became a grandmother for the first time .. I told my son " I understand the mechanics of this ... but how the hell did I get to be a grandmother?"

soul2share -> RE: Do you "feel" your age? (4/11/2008 8:37:09 AM)

Nope...definitely not feeling the age!  Someone asked me the other day how old I was....I had to stop and think about it.....or maybe that was CRS!  I still love zoos, roller coasters and amusement parks, arcades, cartoons...the old ones, that is...today's cartoons suck!  It was great when my son was younger....then I had him as an excuse for me buying the Disney movies, hitting the playgrounds and parks, mini-golf and go carts.....of course, I never needed an excuse before...don't need one now.  I've never been the "mom" that sitsw on the sidelines while my son went out to play....I was right in there with him!

Most people my age that I know are stodgy folks.  They don't see the magic and wonder in stargazing, or watching the monkeys play at the zoo, nor do they want to hop on the roller coasters!  I've always gravitated to younger people, in pretty much all of my relationships of life.

Just the other day, I did the math to figure out how old my parents were......they are out driving a semi over the road, they've each retired from 2 jobs already....my dad just turned 72, my mom will be 67....and she wouldn't even shoot me for telling her age!  Longevity seems to run in our family, so I'm looking forward to a few more good years!  I can't think of them as old.....they were younger than a lot of my friends parents, and they still go non-stop with their lives.
