I tried to climb a tree to save a cat yesterday and failed.  Granted, it was a pine with the nearest branches about 35 feet off the ground, but damn it, I had a rope.  That should have been enough.

This will not do.  How am I supposed to be Batman if I can't climb one simple tree?  Time for a workout.

I know your feelings.  I've lived a rather adventurous life, but my body and, in part, my mind is in revolt.  I find it hard to lug even a single tank SCUBA rig from the car to the water's edge.  Anything more than a mile swim is exhausting, especially in a current.  I used to jump out of helicopters thirty feet off the water, but I found my knees shaking as I repaired the tile roof on my single story house recently.   I get tired after only five miles of walking... with only a small pack.

It's age.  I respect that.  But I still remember what I could do and it makes me very sad.

Sometimes I think we put too much value on living long.   Checking out early while a person is still a person and not a useless hulk seems to be a much better option.

My teen tried to tell me yesterday that I'm only as old as I think I am. I reminded him that although that sounds nice, when it comes to the body it just ain't so. Unfortunately my eyes seem to be going first. Two cataracts and now I'm developing glaucoma. This isn't supposed to happen to someone my age.

We are expecting and the OB/GYN told me i would need to be monitored a little more closely since i am an "older mom."

i am only 36, but my job has made me "older" in body.  i can't do what i used to be able to do.  no more heals behind my head, no more climbing trees, no more doing those twirling things with your leg over and your arms under on the bars [:(]. i miss being younger1

one good thing from getting older - is that Sir lets me sit on the furniture!   a great consession he tells me, and one that my hips enjoy very much.

My mom (really my grandma, but she raised me) is 93. She goes to the basement to do her laundrey, she cooks and she drives well....(if a bit slow)

She is SO not useless. And even if she could only lie in bed and talk to me, she would be worth the world to me.

Oh fuck.  Turning forty sucks.  I've got early onset arthritis in my neck and spine.  Bad knees.  A torn rotator cuff.  I'm half deaf.  I wear glasses now.  High cholesterol.  My boobs hang lower.  And I'm Italian so I'm shrinking.

They are really gross....I would have to be pretty damn drunk to tap some ho wth knees like that...Unfortunately booze does make the mind willing but tends too often now to tucker out the Domidong.

It sucks getting older. I feel like I have let down many of the younger women on this site.....Just a few years ago I was glorious. Now they call me sir. I look at them and say, "what in the fuck did you just call me?"....They take several steps back and look around uneasily before saying in a hesitant and questioning voice..."Sir?"

Then they start crying and blather on something about "stanger danger" while looking in their purse for what I can only presume would be mace or a rape whistle.

Shit, it's not like I'm put off by tapping you old, worn out and tired hos...Its just that I remember the old days when tits defied gravity and my yatches all had butts like ten year old boys.

It's all so sad.

Geez... what are you, an ex-quarterback?

Shrinking too, 'eh? You could try hanging upside down for 10 minutes a day using hook rings around the lowest part of your legs, like Richard Gere did in Looking For Mr Goodbar. Probably won't do much for your boobs though.
