Well I would argue that no one needs protection from speech.  When you promote that idea, you create a permanent victim class in society.  You instill a mindset in minorities that all problems they have are the fault of others and they give up hope and effort to solve these problems.  So their neighborhoods become war zones filled with addiction, poverty, unemployment, and disease.  But not to worry, us well meaning, upper middle class white folks won't let any movie stars or crackpot political philosphers say say anything to hurt their feelings.  After all we know those poor minorities are just babies that can't protect yourself.  So we will create some condescending, worthless laws that will never address the real social problems that affect you.  We do all of this so that we can take the attention away from the real people that are fucking these groups of people in the ass.  It's the same group of people that are fucking white working and middle class people in the ass.

I think there is a difference between mocking someone and spreading manipulative fear. Besides Jesus don't care because he don't exist whereas Muslim immigrants do.

I'm not a strong supporter of these laws as I've already said but to compare attacking Muslim immigrants, which could then lead to persecution of those immigrants, with mocking a fictitious deity, which leads to the persecution of no one, is a bit disingenuous.

And it isn't only God being "mocked" but Christians. That mocking can easily be seen as "attacking".... which "could" lead to violence against them.
