I enjoy your profile, personally.  Granted, I'm not your target audience by any stretch of the imagination...but I enjoy it.  You seem to lay almost everything out in front, and that's commendable.   You've got a few typos here and there, but who doesn't?  Nothing big.

So that I'm not hijacking, I think your profile seems good.  It provides most of the information someone would be looking for.  Aside from a they're/their/there spelling issue, everything seems fairly peachy.  Also, most people do not like liars or fakes, it's kind of a given.  Does it really need to be there?

Ok, so because of the large number of submissives asking for "profile review" I think we should start charging for the service.  Not money, but cookies or something.  Clearly someone here should be getting some kind of chocolatey baked goods (maybe set up a rotation?).  Me first.

hahaha, good thing I can cook. I made a double layer yellow cake with chocolate frosting for my little bro's b-day last week, put some hot fudge on the top. I dont think it lasted more than 2 days

Yeah, i agree. i'm thinking along the lines of chocolate though - and the good stuff not that cheap crap found in dollar stores. After all our time is valuable, is it not?

Oh and OP, i agree, i like your straight forward aproach. What about putting some of the sense of humor you mention in it, you know not completely as serious as it is now.

i thought your profile was a good one, a few spelling mistakes here and there. The cig in hand is a little put offish, but that is my opinion.  All in all, you make is clear what you want and are looking for.
i hope you find it. Good luck.

PS, i love dark chocolate cake, ok ok  how about death by chocolate cake. YUMMY

Yes, but with any luck Geoff will find a domme who can take the cigarettes out from between his fingers with a whip.  That ought to turn him into an ex-smoker fairly quickly.  The others can have my chocolate.  I'd rather have a bottle of Laphroaig.

So much hating on the smokers!  You've all got me pouting now.

Don't worry, Geoff, you just need to find a Domme with a smoking fetish.  Then it's all gravy from there.  (Mmm... gravy.)

Well I hate to be negative, but I have to say the overall impression I get is very ummm....negative. Your expression in the pic is pretty grumpy looking and the overall tone of your profile is grouchy and a bit hostile. Even when you talk about one of your good qualities, loyalty, you make it sound a bit pathetic. I have read your posts before and I know you're a good guy, but if I was going strictly by the profile I'd probably be put off.

Suggestions are 1- make your good qualities sound good. Instead of saying you are loyal like a dog, just say you are loyal and deovoted. 2-Instead of saying what you don't want "I don't want someone who sits on their ass" try saying what you DO want " I want someone who devoted to personal growth". 3-Don't say you've been burned (we all have) just say you've learned or discovered through experience 4- Tone down the part about liars and manipulative idiots (that's the part I was saying sounds hostile) just say that you are perceptive and you seek honesty and will work hard to always give the same etc...

Alas, no, all that's around the house at the moment is a bottle of 12-year-old Glenfiddich, though I do have a rather nice 10-year-old tawny port.  I think we're guilty of hijacking this thread, though.  Apologies to Geoff.  Maybe if we invite him over, he'll be forgiving.

Geoff,

I'm not your target market but I did look at your profile and pics. You're an artist so I don't have to tell you to take in all the suggestions and observations but only keep what's true to you. A LOT of folks have a burr up their butt about "correct spelling" which is at best a 19th century contrivance and the editor in the profile thing is tedious. I mostly saw contraction / possesive punctuation missing but maybe that's part of your statement.

Looking at the lyrics you've chosen to include in your journal entries I think the tone of your profile is consistent and authentic and would speak most intimately to somone interested in that kind of music / musician.

The most frequently repeated advice I've seen is to get offline as is possible and meet / speak with real people with your interests. I think this is very good advice.

Good luck to you in your quest!

ok, first, thank you to all who gave advice.

now, Im gonna reply specifically to people

first, TN, youve never been anything but kind to me, and I thank you for it. However, this is my profile. This represents who I am as a person. You say you know Im a good guy. Really, it doesnt take much for most people to see me as that. They just need to get to know me a bit.

second, TermsConditions, thank you for the neutral eye. Spelling errors are not that important to me, and Id rather not be with someone that it mattered so much that theyd reject someone over them. Now, there is a limit, but one or two here and there really shouldent be a big deal. As for being involved locally, Im very involved with a local group called CYPRUS (Cleveland Young People Realizing and Understanding Sexuality), a local kink group for people in the 18-35 bracket. The "other" groups in NE  Ohio, PRS(who Id like to mention kick ass for letting us use theyre dungeon for parties) and SMART, are 21+ groups, but theyre really just a bunch of old coots for the most part .

thats pretty much it.
