Those are great answers. Looks like the singles prefer to wait for the right person and the committed wait out of faithfulness.

It wouldn't be right if I didn't give an answer too so here goes.

How long-I've gone without sex for up to 2 years and I've waited that long many times.

Reason-It feels empowering. I'm in control over my body. I always get lots of offers but I don't want sex more than the right person so I prefer waiting for the right guy.

I think lots of women would rather have sex with the right guy. I guess men differ on this topic and that's why they didn't answer the question? I know plenty of men who admit that they want sex first and foremost and then they feel closer to the woman AFTER the sex, but many women like to feel close to the guy BEFORE having sex with him. Women and men are so opposite. But I guess that's a good thing since there's more women in the world than men. Otherwise if all the women wanted sex there wouldn't be enough men to partner with. What a situation that would make!!

i dont remember how long. sometimes i go months without wanting to have sex - since it requires an actual person and i dont know or want to know anyone i want to have sex with. sometimes it is because of where or with whom i am living (i.e, with juniors)

I certainly do. But if I find someone that I can laugh and have a good time with, I don't necessarily need love. But I prefer to wait.

That used to be me. It used to be mostly about the sex. And, I think, (just theorizing here), many guys feel/think that if a chick is willing to enjoy sex with them, then she's a keeper, because many men are really insecure, despite all the bluff and bluster, and knowing that someone wants to be with them enough to have sex with them is a good feeling.

Now, I want to feel close to the woman before I have sex/become intimate (different things, really. PornPigs have sex, but they sure aren't intimate.) I want to make having sex part of the exploration, not the goal of getting together. Drop all my defenses and "let it all hang out," as we used to say. I want, for want of a better word, our "souls" to intertwine.

I want to feel some kind of connection. A little more than just (apologies to John) "whatever gets you through the night...".
