For me, it's most definatly my mom. She just doesn't think before she opens her mouth, and she is very snappy and very nasty sometimes, over the most basic questions. Like one time, She's even gone so far as to say I was so fat I was damaging her couches by sitting on them one time. When in reality the couches are broke cause she throws herself into them like a dead weight an it breaks the springs and cushions. However according to her they're broke cause I am fat and I damage them by sitting on them. lol.

I am a drama stirrer, but in my case it's because I think before I speak.

It fell upon me to be the emotional scapegoat for both sides of my family. No sinecure, I can assure you.

My aunt. She's decided she wants me to move to Arizona with her so that I can meet a REAL man. (She doesn't know about my lifestyle but knows that I'm "dating" a black man. Her definition of "real" means white.)

My first memories include her saying, "I'm a nervous wreck". Over 40 years later she still is, and will tell any stranger all about it. When I was a teenager I used to joke that next to the word BITCH in the dictionary was her picture. I love her, but she makes me crazy.

I would have to say it's my mother. I've never met anyone so negative, bitter, hostile, angry and well, words just fail me. I've taken breaks from her years at a time. I have no problem living thousands of miles away from her, it keeps the drama, pus, infection and crap down to a minimum. Best time we got along was when I lived in Australia, 10,000 miles away from each other. Even living in the same town now, we would still go weeks without seeing each other. She doesn't know yet that I'm moving to Canada - she'll be the last to know, she's going to freak and it's going to get ugly. There will be accusations of abandonment, neglect, hate and other uglies. *sigh*

wow YMHA...do we have the same mother? lol, i've never been accused of breaking a couch, but i do get criticized for "how i hold my eyes" wtf does that mean, like i can help that? she thinks i hold my eyes a certain way so i'll attract men rofl. oh then there's my hair because it's so big and not short and the fact that i'm not emaciated like the other women in my family. shrugs....i avoid my family like the plague, i just don't need the drama and i don't want my kids exposed to their closed minded, wacko religious ways of thinking.

hugs for having to put up with that, i know how you feel girl.

My ex mother in law.... She's not happy until everyone else is unhappy. She'll turn her own sons against each other and stab demonsharp knives in your heart at every opportunity. I'm glad she moved away. Its one thing to play head games w/ us, but to whack out my kids? lilmomma says hell no~
Hope she never moves back, I can only take her in small doses.

Hey, Level, we related or sumpin??? If I had family from Texas, I'd be thinking we were..... And like you, I keep contact with the family to a minimum. Though I'm discovering that I do have some pretty decent family members. Unfortunately, I've discovered this and gotten to know them better just as I'm getting ready to move 2200 miles away. *sighs* Oh well......

while we're on the subject of ex sisters in law. mine is named christine and is my age, the only thing is, is that she is the female version of my ex hubby. whew, ex hubby and female combined? whew! no thanks!

one time she put her hand on my arm and started in on something and i said, "you want to get your hand off my arm Hoss? rofl, she hasn't spoken to me since..thanks god.

you know, i just called my daughter and asked her this question it bothered me so much. thank god she didn't say me. she said her dad and so did my son.

i really would be devastated if my children thought of me in this light. i'm trying really hard not to be my mother(s).
