A couple weeks ago I took out one of my nipple piercings because it was still sore and oozing after 6 months, and I didn't want to risk infection. Now, the nipple is like, sort of inverted. It gets hard, but it doesn't pop out like its supposed to. Its like it went from being an outie to being an innie. Has this every happened to anyone? Any suggestions? It kind of bothers me, but I don't know if I want to mess with it either.

My nipples deformed! I'm not feeling a lot of warm fuzzies right now. I mean, what if your...um...penis...um...went from being an outie to being an innie? Would you wanna be sitting in a circle singing kumbaya? I bet not!

I dunno.. mine did that for a bit when I took a piercing out. It eventually went back to normal after a year, then I got it re pierced. Still no idea what caused it to do that. -.- Honestly, I'd say to re pierce it after it heals, if you think it won't reject again.

It didn't actually reject. It just wasn't given the proper healing time before it got messed with. I don't know if I'll have it pierced again. I can't even decide whether or not to take the left one out. :) But, its good to know that yours eventually returned to normal.

Have you asked your piercer? That's the first thing I'd recommend doing. They might not be medically certified, but they at least have a huuuuge variety of experience with just about everything you can imagine happening from a piercing. And if YOUR piercer doesn't give you very good feedback, I know that in my city, other piercers will gladly look at someone else's work and give advice/commentary for free.

Or, You could try the silver water thing, Unless it was silver that was bothering you. I would gladly give you some, and I have seen it work.

Have someone pinch your nose closed and then blow really hard into your mouth. That should pop that nipple right back out. It works for dicks.

my left nipple inverted after a biopsy about 10 years ago.......it still is sensitive, and can take a good bit more torture now compared to before...but it takes a lot of work to get it to "come out" course the work is fun-i recommend a snake bite kit. (well i really recommend someone with a willing mouth but im workin with what i happen to have available at the time-lol) after all this time, i doubt it will ever come back out, but i was so glad to not have cancer i didnt worry about it too much. id ask a doctor-sometimes a nipple inverting suddenly can indicate a big problem....sometimes its just a thing.

with the infection it could have formed scar tissue that might be causing the nipple to invert. if this is the case then your doctor could do a simple release procedure on the scar. it would be a good idea to have your doctor examine it to be certain it wasn't caused by a cancerous growth.

I think you should have your doctor look at it first. But I do have a solution for inverted nipples. I had inverted nipples my whole life until I did some research and found something that would bring them out. Its made for women who have inverted nipples and want to breast feed. So its marketed along with breast pumps and such on the internet. they are small little plastic cups, about the size of thimbles. They have a small flexible tube attached and come with a plastic syringe. You place the cup on your nipple and then pull the syringe which will pull the nipple out. You have to do this every day for a while and it is little painful sometimes but in a good way.

The product is the Avent Niplette. It's fun with or without inverted nipples. The marketing materials say you can wear them all day under your clothes, but I have trouble with the suction staying strong enough for that. Also, fyi, unless you're wearing something bulky, they're pretty obvious--kind of like that Sex and the City episode in which Samantha had nipple enhancers. Except, with the Niplette, there's a little tube attached and under tight clothes, it might look like your nipples sprouted antennae.
