Umm...Collarme has a hide profile or "deactivate" feature that allows one to post and send messages but not receive response to the messages or for that matter receive messages at all. The profile then shows up as "does not exist"

I only see two.
He who makes an ignorant statement.  And she who does not ask him what it means.
I do some edge play.  But I know the risks, the consequences, and whether or not my partner is the kind of guy who enjoys a mind fuck, or has the ego that allows him to do what ever his partner will take, to show off his supposed dominance.

I've had 2 too many epidurals in my life.

the first punctured my spinal column which allowed cranial fluid to seep down every time I sat up, causing my brain to bounce on the sides of my skull giving me the most intense headache I've ever felt in my head, a blood patch had to be administered to correct the situation.

The second, 6 years later slipped out of my back mid contraction.

Both hurt like hell going in despite the local anethesia, both were administered in a hospital setting by trained and experienced doctors.

A question was asked.... and it had a codicile.... (please dont bother noting the risk).

I was very disappointed to note that most replies considered the codicile irrelevant.

Many replying posts were rude to the point of abuse. I, thus, removed my profile. I was emabarrassed to be the target of such negativity.

I did however note.... one person (in the wilderness) state:

The tone of these replies. perhaps, says more about the collarme community, rather than the questioner or the question ! ( I know there is a word for re-framing a quote, but I can't remember it.)

This is the 2nd time I have asked a question in this forum... and deleted my profile because of the negativity that it has created.

At some time in the future, I hope to ask a question that doesn't create such anamosity.

You got some VERY good replies... I think you can not talk about the reality of having the procedure done without including the risk.

I know that was specificaly not what you were looking for, but sometimes people feel compelled to discuss the entire ramifications of  "an act of edge play"... Not all of the posts were negative towards you; even if your question was not answered in the way you would have wished.

I don't insist on being correct. You posted a question and I gave you responses from my own experience. I'm sorry that you didn't like the responses that I or others gave. Those are the hazards of coming on to a public message board and asking a random group of strangers for answers. You got good, honest replies in regards to your topic. We take risks in this lifestyle all the time and what makes that a safer thing to do is to be as informed as one can possibly be as to exactly what level of risk you are taking. Now maybe you had no understanding of what a lumbar puncture entailed when you posted....but now you know that it is a procedure that comes with extremely high risk.

Actually, I knew exactly what a lumbar puncture entailed.... and have been through the procedure myself.

I note with your last post, that you are still attempting to take control of this question.

Yes, the hazards of a public forum. However, it is presumed that ppl on this forum understand 'consent'. And at no stage did I consent to nastiness bordering on abuse.

However, somehow, the fact that this is a public forum,.... seems to open one up to 'nastiness bordering on abuse'.

This is not "your" thread.  It is CollarMe's thread.  If it were your thread, you would have power over who could post to it.

I bring this up, because it is an example of your lack of understanding of boundaries.  Your Opening Post was a dramatic example this lack of understanding.

When we are two years old, we really don't know that crossing the street without looking could get us killed, or eating pesticide, etc. etc.  No cause/effect connection.  When we are 17 (or muuuuch older) we might know but not care.  (Yeah, I'll regret this in the morning, but you know what?  Bring it on!)  You don't seem to possess that cause/effect connection, especially if you have had a lumbar puncture before.

People are trying to educate you about where "play" stops.  You are not showing me that you know where things start and stop.    I would suggest thanking the good people who are trying to help you, instead of getting your back up.

You knew exactly what a lumbar puncture entailed, and the risks, (which are phenomenal even under the best of conditions), and actually considered allowing someone (whom I presume is *not* a doctor) attempt such a procedure?
Really?
There really *are* such things as dumb questions; and the fact that people gave you honest *omg* responses should at least tell you something.
If you want to be mad at someone, be mad at your 'dom' for allowing you to embarass yourself this way, or be mad at yourself for behaving in an immature fashion when people go out of their way to stop what could be a
f***- up of major proportions with consequences that could affect you for the rest of your life.
