Holly, he's doing much better......my sis said it looks like he'll be home on Friday...as in tomorrow. He's been up and moving around in the hospital, mostly a wheel chair for now.....he's such a klutz I think my sister's afraid to give him crutches! They didn't have to do anything else to his leg, but it's going to take time to heal since he pretty much broke all the major bones in it....at least the knee is intact. I just thank God that he was wearing his seat belt.....we'd have lost him for sure if he wasn't. I still see that car even in my sleep......or, what's left of it. And his sense of humor's intact.....he cracked a joke that the deer population was getting back for all the times Chuck (his dad) went hunting and bagged one. He swerved to go around one in the roadway...that's what caused the accident......no alcohol in his blood. Another blessing.

Rain...they sort of get the right of way no matter where they cross at.....It's amazing the amount of damage one can do to a car.......they are all over the place in our neck of the woods back home. Springtime is the worst...all the bucks are looking for a female, or 2, or 3, or as many as they can get......and they can be mean!

It will be both great and scary for your sister to finally get him home.... I guess he is in for a bit of physical therapy?

Yes, Holly, once he gets healed enough, he's got to do it for his arm and the one leg for sure, He's gonna be one hurting puppy.....but at least he's here to hurt!
