He swerved to go around one in the roadway...that's what caused the accident......no alcohol in his blood. Another blessing. He's so lucky. Never ever swerve to avoid an animal. Hit it square and it will go over the top of the car. You may have major damage to the car but you will be fine. I live in a semirural county where the major cause of deaths are from deer/car interaction. A friend who hunts here and is a state trooper sat my oldest down when she got her permit and told her about all the deaths he's been at because people swerve. They swerve and the car goes into a ditch or hits a tree or a telephone poll. He's very lucky and I hope all his friends learn from this not to swerve. My thoughts for a full recovery.

Rain makes kitty noises in her sleep. We now return you to your regularly scheduled program. [See...this is the type of thing I do when she picks the movie we're watching for the evening and then falls asleep during it. Twice, no less, this was the second time...]

Celeste, thanks so much. He hasn't actually been driving too long, just a few years. His reflexes just took over, but I think that's cuz he may have been sleepy too. He missed the deer, lost the fight with the tree......a huge old oak.....damn wildlife! And his sister hit a deer not too long ago too.....seems to run in the family....but she was driving an older audi....it's made out of real steel, so the damage was minimal. She freaked out tho when another driver came along behind her, hit the deer, and it exploded into blood, guts and gore. Poor kid!

What?!? Me talking in my sleep? OH... MY... GOD... No, it is so not funny. Not for me it's not. My family on the other hand can tell you stories by the hour that will have you falling off your chair in howls of laughter at me. [:(] One notable example is silly me took a 5 credit US History course in college. One of those ridiculous summer courses where they do the entire semester in 2 weeks. Monday through Saturday, 730 am to 530 pm. I wanted to just take the class and get it over so signed up for it, knowing it would be intense. I also was staying at a friend's who needed some help. Well, one night, she and another friend were still up and I was passed out from the day already. Apparently, around 1 am, I got up and walked into the family room where they were and started quoting verbatim the instructor's lecture. Including all his jokes and gestures. My friend had just taken his course but the full length semester one. She still had all her notes. [&o] She and my friend tell me I went on for some time.... I still have no memory of it. Talk about embarrassing..... She told the instructor about it too......
