Yes, but she will "cook" for you....

She stays on the Christmas Card List, sunshine, but only just. She gets one of the crappy recycled cards.

<---never even got the crappy card

My social worker wouldn't let me have your address, remember?

Yep, damn, she sadly isn't in our system either

So sadly I have to send all my crappy cards to Greedy this year...still hope to find the birthday card for her which I missplaced last year...as long as she does not go to her pirate at least her mailbox is open

Am eying a way overpriced attachment for the Kitchenaid mixer that will strain the apple skins out. I really hate the food mill with a passion.

Can you ask for it for Christmas?  Hanukkah. .  you know.  I know that there is the popular myth about the horrible husband that buys his wife a vaccum or something that goes in the kitchen as a gift. . . personally I LIKE kitchen stuff and I ask for it on purpose.

Of course if you need it right now . . .  I have no suggestions.

I want it for apple canning. I just object to spending that much money for a few days usage per year. But if I had it, I'd probably put up my own spaghetti sauce.

Trying to talk myself into it.

Good night folks, am off to bed with quite a low mood...as currently my kitten is gone missing  I seriously hope she will turn up tonight and was just hiding somewhere...however, its getting worrying now. Apart from that my cold is just driving me nuts. My new meds help well but it seems it didn't reach it's highest level yet. I already told my mum if my cat does not turn up then I won't go home for my brothers wedding as I won't go away for 4 days in that situation...I really hope she turns up...it's just weird...somehow not my time at the moment...good night

Thanks Holly, I just found her!!!

Thank goodness and she was OUTSIDE.

It is 11.30pm here and I went so often the street up and down today and never heard her anywhere. And the problem also is that she has no signal so far to which she reacts. My boys react to it (mostly) when I make noises with my key, my girl pepper reacts to the sound of her package of treats but with her that doesn't work yet.

So I just went outside once more, did not expect anything anymore by now and at first spicy reacted to my call, then curry run around my legs and then there was another miaow...and there she was...sitting underneath a car, quite frightened...gosh I am just glad she is back now and seriously don't know how she ended up there in the first place...not to mention that she didn't respond the five times before when I looked outside for her. However, I am just glad that she is in now as it would have been a damn long day outside tomorrow until I would have been back from placement if she would not have turned up when I leave and I think she would still be pray for a fox here. Phew...that was luckily a happy end...even more happy about it considering that her breeder just lost a lovely boy 2 days ago...I would have hated to bring her news about her being missing...good night, now I can finally chill and keep a closer eye on that little one here

oooh, Phoenix....I've so been there and done that....right after I moved to AZ, one of my boys snuck out the door on me...and I didn't realize it until I was getting ready to leave for work at 9:30pm.  Only 2 kittehs showed up for dinner.  I called and called, then had to leave for work.  I spent all next day outside eveery 30 minutes calling him.  I was a wreck, the kittehs don't know about mean dogs, and then there was the heat, it was August, and traffic, and all the poisonous creepy crawlies that cats find so much fun to pounce on!  It was a looooong day.....but at 9:30 that night, I made another loop around the area, and there were a couple of ladies calling for him too, and we were at the bottom of the stairs leading up to the room I was staying in, and she asked me what his name was, and when I told her, I heard a "MOOOOM" meow from under a bush at the foot of the stairs.  I was so thrilled to see him that I cried!!!  Other than the fact that he was dehydrated and hungry, he was no less worse for the wear.  And now I have to be really careful, because he still sneaks out the door on me, and he's really good at it!  I think I aged 5 years that night!

Glad to hear your little wanderer came home.

Indeed, you know how it feels like. My boys are outside to 80% and thats fine, they love it outside...but they are also 2 and 4 years old, my 4 year old was homeless his first 2 years of life,so they know how to defend themselves when necessary (my 4 year old had nasty injuries at times, thankfully not anymore since about a year)...but summer is not even 4 months old, she turns 4 months on 25th of september, so she is still pray for our foxes here...I am just in tears that I have her back and I still don't get it how that happened...also her breeder is really upset about her loss from her 2 year old boy who was hit by a car 2 days ago (she kept him as another cat was suffering a furry loss and that boy cheered that other cat up, so for the sake of that other cat she kept that boy and did not sell him). So apart from own devastation it would have even hurt more to tell her if she would have been lost now. I also live quite close to a main road. My cats are fine and react well to it when cars come from that main road to our road but summer is just not really ready for outside. So I am just incredible relieved that I found her at the end and emailed my mum that I will now probably fly home (still depends on how my cold continues, though).

When I get my student money in end of the month I will go to the vet with her for micro chipping. I wanted to wait with it until I go with my cats to their vaccinations anyway in november or december and do it in one go, but if she would have gone missing now it would have been much harder to clarify that it is mine (if she would have been found safely) without that chip. After that ruined sunday with my worries about her that will get done within the next 2 weeks, thats for sure.

also thanks, stevie.

good night now (finally )

Thank goodness she didn't wander further.

The Man used to have two cats, when the younger one went missing, he let the older one out and followed him. Sure enough he found the little one and then The Man carried her home.

She wouldn't come when the family called but only when the other cat did.

Pure, i'm feeling ok, but i wish i knew what was going on with Herbert*.  The test results only said "needs more investigation".  It's getting bigger - slowly.  i get depressed sometimes and try to "surround myself with positive people".

* Herbert is my lump, for anyone who doesn't know.

i don't have one scheduled yet.  i'm trying to be sure i have some money set aside to move (whenever i'm notified) brefore i make another trip to my Dad's.  i was worried for a while because Social Security said they were going to withhold all of my Nov payment and half of my Dec payment because i made too much in 2008.  But that has been adjusted so i can manage.

i really need to go to see him before the end of the year, in any case.

i'm looking forward to another casino trip with you.

They still have live entertainment on weekends, so I'll make a reservation ahead of time, if possible.
