Status: offline 		Hey all....I'm BAAAAAAAAAACK!  Finally made it here to Jacksonville......parked the moving truck by the curb at the hotel, turned it off to unload the kittehs and a few things, went out to start it back up to move it....and....NOTHING!  The ignition switch went bad....at least it did it at my destination, and not on a highway someplace.....that would've been uuuuugleeeeeee!

The kittehs traveled fine....two of the four figured out how to open the soft sided carriers I had for them on Day 2 and 3 of the trip...I gave up and let them loose in the truck.  Other than the occasional trip across the dashboard in front of the driver's side window, and two of them trying to fit into my lap at once, they did well.  Squeaks would get up on my lap/chest and hug me while driving.....got some really strange looks from folks, but hey, she was comfy and quiet.  (Anyone who has traveled with kittehs knows how blissful the silence truly is!)  She was up there when I hit rush hour traffic in some city, I'd notice people passing me, then they'd slow down to drop back, get a second look and even a third, I guess it was unusual for even rush hour!  We were a bigger traffic hazard than traffic usually was.....but trying to convince a kitteh that she needed to get down was easier said than done.....mine are nothing if not persistent!  But they survived the trip, and are currently all passed out on the bed.  I have stuff from home here with me in the hotel suite, so they at least know that we're not leaving in the morning.

I'm off to bed now...I have an interview with my background inestigator w/Jacksonville in the am......hopefully, everything is done, he's been working on it since before I left Phoenix, so if I'm lucky, it'll be the fingerprints and the drug test left.  WOOOO-HOOOOOO!

And for dashboard kittehs, windshield wipers used to work as a good distraction... once they get used to being shoved to the passenger side, they were good...

sweet...but huffing and puffing my ass on a treadmill is not my idea of fun.
Would a Sybian qualify as doing something for ones self? Probably a lot more fun than a treadmill and they cost about the same.

Status: offline 		Greedy!!!!  Once I get unpacked and settled, we HAVE to do something!

The windshield wipers actually freaked them out......Boo and Squeaks were sitting on the dash, and I turned them on......they took off like their tails were on fire....*snort*.....actually, it was a good way to keep them off the dash! But once it stopped raining, they were right back up there.  The two of them would stand up on the seat and peek at the big, bad swoopy things that they were SURE were going to eat them alive!  Sometimes, I'd really like to be able to read their minds.......no, maybe not!

I'll tell you... The elliptical.  Burns off more calories and is better for your joints.  Add a little music, celebrate after in the sauna and / or whirlpool.... Oh  I miss my gym!
