A buddy of mine had strep awhile back and was told to take Alleve (naproxen sodium) for the pain. He gave her the fishy eye, but said it worked like magic, because it reduces inflammation.

~FR~ Weekend update: It is raining. The snow is allll melted, and we are in the Preseason of Mud! I was going to go into work for a few hours, but elected to Not Do It. In retrospect, I made the right decision! [:)]

Rain has melted the snow pack in the mountains and now the local river is flooding. I really hate having a 45 minute detour to do what is normally a ten minute ride into town.

Howdy Greedy! It was an interesting dinner tonight. Butterhead was "helping" the other half set the table. She was very insistant that we needed the box of goggie treats on the table for us all to enjoy. It was difficult to convince her that they did not belong there.

Oh yeah, it's Monday. Still raining, I figure if it doesn't quit soon my driveway will flood. May leave one car down by the road for that eventuality. If it ever dries up this summer, unlike last, I have to clean out the culvert.

CELESTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The flooding here is getting dangerous. The roads are fine, but our creek is on the rise, and that generally brings a bunch of different surprises. The cows have started to calf, and newborn calves do not have an ounce of sense. A few years ago a calf was on one side of the creek, and Mommy on the other. We had to listen to its pathetic, heartbreaking cries all night long, until it was light enough to get the bloomin' boob back to mom safely.
