Evening all! I have the begining of the Memorial Day food preperation under way. This is of course after working 8 hours at a hospital 2 hours away. Yawn I am wore the heck out. How is everyone else today?

I see the storms on radar and ready in case of blackout. Then my 4yo niece told me how tornados were formed. I forgot that today was Memorial Day... ETA: Someone give me some Advil...my leg it hurting like crazy...last time this happened, a tornado hit Jarrell.

So...in the "how stooopid am i?" category, i enlisted the assistance of the LoudOne to help ol one-armed Mommy plant flowers last night. Today i am going to ask him to help me nail Jello to a tree[8\|]

Good Morning, Holly! Good Morning, Aylee! Good Evening, sunshine! Good Morning, Shahar! It's a beautiful day so far, but due to get a little warm. Master Rich went home yesterday, so i am on my own again. His last instructions to me were to take it easy and HEAL. i hope everybody has a restful holiday. Please remember our vets today and everyday. Master Rich is a Vietnam Vet (Navy). He's going to spend part of the day on the ship where he is a docent. It seems to give him comfort to be with the other sailors who are also docents.

I think that a trip to the pool will be out of the question with all the clouds in the sky, but I did say that we could go for ice-cream if the cookies are just not enough of a desert for seven kids. [:)] I also have some shrimp filling that I made for filo cups that I will fill and bake right before everyone gets here. Kevin had "requested" lobster tail and crab legs. [8\|] Unfortunatly my local grocery store only had one tail. So I had to figure something else out. LOL Butterhead did get to go to the pool Saturday, and she LOVED it. It was raining Sunday evening so there was no pool trip. I think that we have also discovered her lack of talking issue. She only talks to me when she has a sentance to say. [8\|] Now if I could just convince her that wearing clothes is a good thing. She wants to be a Space Marine and I keep telling her that there are no nudist Space Marines. She even turns one of her toy boxes into a "drop pod." What are you gonna do?
