Awesome!  Butterhead actually has several Cthulhus.  And the Cthulhu Rainy Day Activity Book.  LOL  The poor thing is going to be so twisted as she grows up!

yourdarkdesire -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (6/3/2010 10:15:41 PM)

Ok - first of all - Fluffy: stop this shit and get better already!

Second - Cthulhus: how in the hell do you say this thing!

Third: I had an awesome day. I went on a field trip with my girl's grade one class and went to www.sunnybrookfarmmuseum.com This farm is in the middle of a city with over 90,000 people in it! The kids had so much fun - they got to make bannock, which was then cooked on a wood-burning stove. They each washed a sock using a washboard and hand ringer. They got to make butter. We saw all the baby farm animals - including a little baby bunny . awwwwwww. They got to feel a bunch of different grains, used a hand grinder to grind flour, learned about what you get from the grains - including malt barley lol. The last stop was the milking station where they had a wooden cow with a heavy rubber udder, and each of the kidlets had a chance to learn how you milk a cow! It was a fantastic trip and I am grateful for the opportunity to join them. Some days not working sucks big time - other days - you get a day like this.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (6/3/2010 10:54:13 PM)

I wanna play with bunnies! But not with a bunch of kids. Thank heavens mom does the field trip stuff!

Cthu = ku, lhu = looph

It took me several years to say it correctly. Steve took me to the side and worked with me until I got it right.

fluffypet61 -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (6/4/2010 5:29:02 AM)

Good Morning, everyone!

It looks like a nice day outside my window.

They still have me on IV anitbiotics and shots to increase my white cell count.  i'm stuck here until those two things work.  At least i don't need surgery.

GoddessImaginos -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (6/4/2010 5:34:07 AM)

Good morning, campers. fluffy, without seeming too cliche, you are an inspiration; sending warm pink healthy love and light, part of a balanced breakfast (and there's plenty to go around, if anyone else would like some..).

Holly - I want to know why you're not saving all of this and publishing a book ...... I don't care if all your tales are true - too many bad things seem to happen to you - but your style of writing is simply fabulous. Now, instead of sugarplums dancing in my head - I will have bumblebees with stingers and wings beating up a thundercloud!

She's been told her stories should be collected and published.  I've done it and others have as well.  Mebbe her hearing isn't up to par... [:D]

Morning all

Thanks for the fix Des ..... how much do I owe you?

Something that made me feel really good was the level of responsibility the teacher gave me. Because of my daughter's diabetes, I am there for lunch about 3 days a week (grandpa does the other days). So, all the kids know me and respect me, as I know and respect them. As a result of my going (3 other Moms were there) our Education Assistant got to stay behind. She was very grateful as she works with all 4 grade 1 classes and would have had to go all 4 times. We were split into 3 groups - 1 with 2 moms, 1 with 1 mom and the teacher. I got to go solo with my group :) . Now - if only I had taken a few ball gags with me! lol (will have to remember that as I still have 2 more field trips I get to supervise!)

Due to crappy weather, I cancelled soccer last night and got to go to hubby's year end party. We were honoring 3 teachers who were retiring. Between them they had 100 years of teaching. Wow.

Thanks guys, i am flattered, but i have heard nightmares about how difficult getting published can be, and how expensive it you try to do it on your own.

But you make me feel really good with what you are saying[:)]
