Is your hearing going to return? I am staying strong, but I am ashamed to say I DID indulge in a bit of stooping.. there will be no more of that, though.

Yeah yeah...good morning and all that crap Guess...a wild ass guess...who's powerline/transformer thingy was hit by lightening last night? This place lit up like the 4th of july. A neighbor from about a mile away is effected too (lightening travels) but is running a generator and already knows his computer is blown along with his fridge and microwave. It seems the phone line/dcl line was fried and he lost his landlines, ansewering machines, etc. I think our computer may be history but we won't know till the power comes back on and the phone co gets the line fixed. Our phone co (Bubba's Communications/Beer Sales Inc.) does not work on the weekends. I hope all is well with you guys and everyone has a safe weekend!!!

So....I was sitting here in the dark doing some major grumping...damn power goes off every time a cow farts...the well doesn't work during a power failure so we can't even flush...country life isn't all its cracked up to be...gonna kill myself walking to the barn in all this rain/mud....Jim is working the whole weekend....Bubba annoys me.....I TOLD Jim we needed to buy a generator....need coffee and need it NOW....Oh yeah, I am in full Mary Sunshine mode. So...a pickup pulls up and the neighbor I had been talking to knocks on the door. He brought us his spare generator, plus a 5 gal can of gas and a travel mug of steaming coffee for me, hot chocolate for the LO. He set up the generator, filled it with gas an d got it running and ran two extentions right to the coffee pot! The only thing he forgot to bring was the Humble Pie.[:(]
