I just came home from uni...met my tutor again for my dissertation...last night, after chatting for hours with my new date...I started to actually write on my dissertation for a change....but then decided at night time (well, about 5am) to change the topic...once I was at uni in the canteen I then read one of my new articels and found an even better topic, and so changed it now again [:)] and now at least my tutor and I we both are happy with my new topic (or at least in my case...sort of happy).

One more week to go, then it has to be on paper and dumped off at uni....cant wait for that moment [8|]

Now I came home with a chicken meal...naively my two sibling cats went outside and now they are begging to come in....well, as I am finished with eating by now and my preggy lady had a fair share from her meal (am buying rather posh food for her at the moment as she doesn't eat as much as I would like her to eat, I feel far too much bones on her spine) I can let them in...to snap the left overs from her [:)]

Got my new phone today...but it is unlocked [>:]

So I have to call those twats to unlock it...and if they can't I will go in their store before I am back at uni tomorrow (am all day there tomorrow and wednesday as I am studying there with a friend who also has a handing-in-extention...). What's the point with a new phone when all you get is a black screen with a lil lock on it [8|]

We spent most of the weekend wrestling with the dryer. The kinked copper gas line has been replaced with a flex hose. The vent line now has less turns to go through, which restricted air flow. The dryer has been cleaned of all lint. I can now say definitively that it just isn't getting hot and needs the repairman to change the thermostat.

Oh yeah, and while down working on it, The Man saw a big bag of potato chips and ate it all in frustration, causing his blood sugar to soar. He gets nothing but cruciferous vegetables for the rest of the week to even it out.

Ahhh...school will be out in 30 minutes and Lizard will go to the pool located in the park next door.  She is hooking up with a friend from school (goes to a different HS).

I swear I was sleepwalking back to the apt.

Get back here and even the mouse refused to play with me.  I got to bed and slept any 3 or 4 hours.

I get to cook tonight.  Just some tuna helper.  I hope Bo got some mushrooms.

I know that Little Bit and Binx are hiding from me...Just because I mention the word dip...

I swear to Goddess that Binx is covering Little Bits' feeding bowl.  We think that she is doing it on purpose to drive Little Bit crazy.

I am sure that Bo needs a new shopping cart because the old one I had is on its last wheels.

Greedy - you have jinxed me! But first an confession ....

I am a soccer Mom. How can you tell that an ordinary Mom is really a Soccer Mom in disguise? She drives a Mini-Van. I drive a Mini-Van. Therefore: I am a Soccer Mom.

My lovely shiny red mini-van died on Friday. It was temporarily revived, but once again passed to the other side. After a vain attempt this morning, she was escorted lovingly to the repair shop. After many diagnostic tests (while not free were certainly not very expensive - this is Canada afterall), a diagnosis was made and a treatment plan initiated. Open engine surgery was performed and an replacement alternator was implanted. The patient's battery was restarted and she was successfully revived. A short time was spent in the recovery parking lot, before being retrieved and taken out for lunch.

Now why does this count as a Greedy hex you may be wondering. Well, two years ago, the transmission was replaced (over $4000). Last year her front end suspension, tie--rods and right tire rim were replaced ($2700). And now this. Fortunately the price goes down each year. But she is slowly becoming the Bionic Mini-Van.

Hi folks,

I finally finished my portfolio to hand it in today at uni (or well...I simply decided not to bother to type some stuff I wanted to type to put it in...) and finally get my new dissertation started today as I will be at uni all day today and tomorrow (followed by nightshifts tonight and tomorrow night...). I wish it would be thursday already [8|]

But before I am off to uni I will get my phone sorted...can't believe it is locked (and its not the sim card...as that one works at my other phone [>:]

we have an old mailbox that we converted into an newspaper box.  Somehow, wrens have made it into a nest.  We keep the box open all of the time.  There are 5 eggs in it.

It is so cute!

It is Regents week in New York. Every single high schooler is taking the same test at the same time across the state. All Algebra II students are trotting off to school to start testing today at 7:45. And why they start it earlier than school normally starts I haven't figured out.

Anyway the teen is up and off with #2 pencils and a calculator in hand. First time all year he's actually not been a pain about waking up.
