Threatening to call the police to escort her to school seems to work. Either that or getting out of the house to escape me nagging at her, stating that she has to get a doctor's excuse and she scared of them... I can be a bitch when necessary...

Steven - we always knew you were poly! It is raining ... again ... Wll at least that means soccer will probably be cancelled and I won't require a blood transfusion after the mosquitos are done with me. Now only do I apparently have tasty blood - but I am actually allergic to their bites. I hate those little vampires. Speaking of birds .... our local peregrin falcon family has expanded. The three eggs hatched over the weekend and we have some nice healthy babies. So pretty. So tiny. They are talking about raising the nesting box another 50 feet into the air when the family has left. It has something to do with being able to access live video streaming for the website next year - rather than just being part of the newspaper.

That is so cute, YDD. At home. we got a nest of golden eagles and once in a while, we get to watch a fledgling flying about. We also have coyotes, foxes and feral hogs. Not to mention a panther or mountain lion or wolf. Also white tail deer. Now you know that I live in the boonies ETA: got off the phone with Mom. Every time I want to play on Pogo and I am in Austin, I have to check and see if she is on and when she could get off, especially when a badge is involved. Those who suggested that I am too soft with Lizard, we had an argument about going to summer school today. She is playing sick. I am determined that she does go to school so she can advance in algebra at least (I actually can spell algebra...YEA!!!). I got her counselor checking in on her since she does have a mood disorder like I do.

They just seem to collect themselves around me. We even got a skunk that lives around here. Sometimes the neighbor's dogs get a faceful for bothering it...LOL!

Ahhh...after I call the police to do an Amber Alert, Lizard comes in with her BF. It appears that she had too much sun and pool water and it made her sick. As long as she was counted in the class, everything will be fine. Now...to get her to clean her room (clothes hamper filled up).

When I was in first year nursing school, we had several men in our class. One of them was a body builder. Before our big Anatomy final he let us round up some body paint and paint brushes and had a tutorial naming all the muscles ........ [8D][8D][8D] And yes, alcohol was involved! We had a kid once in HS wherein his mom brought him to class every day for a MONTH because he was skipping class. She would sit at the back of the class of each of his classes and walk with him to his next class, eat lunch with him etc. i don't think he ever had an unexcused absense again lol Shahar, you should try that with your kid and her arguing about not going to school, contingent upon of course you are down there with her. Simply tell her you will be happy to go with her.
