Phil's been strangely immune to peanut butter recently...must be Ramadan.

Crap.  Phil must be one of the new supergroundhogs that is immune to everything!

Monster #1 says to me this  morning after the others left for school (He can't go yet, waiting on paperwork) "who tried to wake me up?"  I said that nobody did and he replies "Then why was i twitching?"  This means he had a seizure. I suspected he'd been having a few in the night because he's been so grumpy and when I check on him he's in awkward positions. This means no sleep for me, have to stay awake to watch him to figure out HOW MANY he's having. [:(]

DesFIP -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/12/2010 8:40:47 AM)

Good Luck Sophie. Hope he's feeling better soon. And they've had all summer to get his IEP done, they should have had it ready before now.

The repairman just left. My washing machine is working again. I have three loads of towels waiting to go, plus sheets, plus clothes. You can find me in the laundry room for the next couple of days.

Oh and I have been told to write on my calendar when to clean the fridge. It's been five months and the dog hair under it was so thick it wouldn't get really cold. Every three months from now on.

Howdy all!

It is going to be a long 13 hours of driving today.

We just moved to this area. It's not their faults.

At my workplaces we use alarm thingys (kind of pads) for our seizure clients. When they have a seizure, a pad, which is underneath their mattress cover or underneath their mattress (don't remember it precisely as it is a while ago that I worked in the particular houses where they are in place) sends off the alarm, that way we get woken up during the night if it happens. Also if they are out of bed for too long then the alarm goes off as that alerts us that this person can be in trouble (eg if s/he had a seizure outside of the bed and did not make it back into bed). Great technology....

Best wishes for your lil monster....

PeanutTigerinBox -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/12/2010 1:50:30 PM)

Hi nutcases....I placed a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge-ish order today for kitchen appliances to improve my way of cooking (bought luxury items such as pots, dishes, slow cooker, mixer, broom, etc....) as well as recipes for smoothies all sorts stuff...

dared to do so as my ex finally did put his financial help on my account....just wish he would have done so before I signed certain posh short term loans [8|]

HOWEVER I get that stuff on saturday...and before our queen of smartass reacts...I know I need to clean my kitchen before actually putting them in there....however, first I need to write my essay now in the next days...and i can only do so when I find my damn remote control....as it isn't fun to watch tv when I have no idea what is coming on the other channels [>:] not to mention that I have to get up every fucking time to change the channel [>:]

my lil critters are fine, but they don't grasp the concept of their tiny liter box yet....both tried to eat those lil white stones [8|] and when I pulled them out of their mouthes again Urmel gave a generous bite [>:][>:][>:]

Hey, sci, I was just reading something like that on Medscape.  I think at the 2 month point it's time for surgery or lithotripsy.

Morning all. The endocet won't let me sleep. GRRRRRRR. So has anyone else ever had a kidney stone that takes 2 months to come out? This thing is driving me insane.

ShaharThorne -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/12/2010 5:27:56 PM)

I was thinking that the use of ultrasound (sound waves) can make the stone to viberate, breaking it to pieces.  Is that what you are referring to, thorny?

Also, is our favorite goundhog Islamic?  I know the Ramadam(?) is happening now.

thornhappy -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/12/2010 5:40:05 PM)

I was thinking the groundhog was a Muslim and gave up peanut butter during the night, like a reverse-Ramadan, because after all, he's a groundhog!

Yep, lithotripsy is the sound wave approach.

ShaharThorne -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/12/2010 7:59:46 PM)

One avoids certain foods for Lent.  I thought that for Ramadam(?), you just cannot have food and water during the daylight hours.  Don't make me get the Quran out...*drives mom crazy with selection of religious texts*

yourdarkdesire -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/13/2010 1:18:21 AM)

Good Morning Friday People!!!!!

Sophie - the new pic is fabulous!
Aylee - I hear you on the temper Tantrum business - Ms. Princess has been having a run of low blood sugars and man does she get nasty! The short skirts/dresses will be an issue for many many years ..... I just try to buy outfits that have the matching panty covers - or go for skorts.
Phoenix! where have you found the smoothie recipies? I got a blender for Christmas with the good intention of making them but have only found one or two recipies so far.
Fluffy - from what I've been reading while lurking it sounds like you're feeling much better these days.  But you and Shahar can keep your knitting and crochet needles - I'll stick with my cross-stitch and petit-point thanks.
Holly - I hope you're feeling better. I have missed our occasional chats.

Thanks! I gotta admit I took the pic and then looked at it thinking WOW do I really look like that? I can now finally SEE the weight loss!  LOL  I had to take a second pic to make sure [:D]

soul2share -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/13/2010 6:54:12 AM)

Morning all......I'm booooored......wanted to make chocolate chips cookies, but don't have any baking soda.....so I guess I'll hafta get dressed and go get some.  Maybe after a nap......was up all night again!  {sigh}  I couldn't even get on the phone, cuz everyone else I know was sleeping.....it's just not fair!  [>:]

Boozy, you're a stitcher too?  cool!  I never could get the hang of knitting or crocheting......I tried, but I need something simple....altho, it's amazing how many knitters/crocheters I know that ell me "I'd never have the patience to stitch"......or "that looks too hard".......which is the same thing I tell them!  [:)]  They think the patterns are complicated.....heck, even if you're color blind, you can stitch!  I've taught quite a few friends how to do it.....it's great for doing at work, cuz I can put it down and pick it up when I get busy.

Mark!!!!  Long time no see!  Hope everything is well with you.

Sophie, your pics have always looked good......I wish mine looked half as good as yours!

ShaharThorne -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/13/2010 7:56:43 AM)

I can cross stitch. I got a wolf pattern I have been wanting to work on, but I am missing one thing...a hoop.

Mom is thinking of doing latch hook design and/or cross stitching. I just don't do any latching. Lizard has my sewing machine (she makes up clothing for her cosplay habit). I tried knitting but I keep dropping stitches.

yourdarkdesire -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/13/2010 8:33:28 AM)

Shahar - unless you are doing a small project that will fit entirely within the hoop - use a frame instead.  Putting a hoop over an area that has already been stitched just stretches everything out of shape.  There are some pretty good plastic snap together rectangular frames that come in several sizes.  I have deliberately broken all my hoops and thrown them out.

Now, that being said - if you are doing a project such as a sweater or sweatshirt - a hoop is necessary unless you are very very good. [:)]

ShaharThorne -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/13/2010 8:54:04 AM)

Ok...i have a dragon somewhere on a rolling hoop. I found the design and is now in a crochet booklets holder. I just need to look in one of the storage bins (too many to count) for it.

here is the design
