Yep. You're one of THOSE people. You know... one of The Clique (or is it Click, Clicque, Clacque, Qwack... whatever).

I am afraid. Very afraid.

sirsholly -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/11/2010 6:37:25 AM)

We, the members of the CollarMe Clique ( Mean Girls) are hiding everywhere....

Mean Girls I can handle. It's the rest of the myriad of cliques that leave me a bit... unsteady.

soul2share -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/11/2010 7:15:35 AM)

BTW...nice pic, Sophie!!!!!

Mornin'all......how's life?

I see that the ijit thread is still alive and well......I keep watching to see 21 take the fool out.....she's a fountain of patience, but I think the fountain may be running a little thin.  It just amazes me that someone can be so stoopid.....obviously, Tink didn't see his true colors, or she woulda taken off for Never Never Land toot sweet!  And considering how keenly he's focused on the topic of ADD, makes me think he has it, but he don't know it!  [8|]

soul2share -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/11/2010 7:21:53 AM)

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand it's over.....VAA stepped in and stopped the foolishness......

$5 says he's got a new string of stupidity up in 30 ins or less~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

fluffypet61 -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/11/2010 8:11:44 AM)

Good Morning, Holly!
Good Morning, soul!
Good Morning, sappa!
Good Morning, sophie!

i'm in Austin at my son's house, been holding the youngest grand and working a jigsaw puzzle with the two other grands.  My DIL is getting ready to go back to work tomorrow.  This year her assignment is at the nearby school.  The last few years she was assigned to two schools.  Her speciality is speech therapy.

The weather here is warm, but not too bad this morning - 90 F and 72% humidity with just a slight breeze.  Forecast is 101 F with 32% humidity.  i think that NJ was worse with it's temp and humidity both in the 90's.

We are just being lazy this morning.  After the youngest grand does her morning nap my DIL is taking me to lunch at a tea shop.

thornhappy -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/11/2010 8:12:03 AM)

Dayum.  I likes me a good train wreck. I am bereft.  Bereaved.  Verklempt.

fluffypet61 -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/11/2010 8:14:16 AM)

Good Morning, thorny!

sophiesback -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/11/2010 8:39:14 AM)

Thanks soul!

HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII fluffy!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me? A MEAN GIRL? [:o]  I gotta go change my tag line again huh?
But I'm so sweet....like chocolate, just look at me, doesn't it show? [sm=trident.gif]

ShaharThorne -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/11/2010 8:45:53 AM)

I did not know that there is a tea shop in Austin...learn something new everyday.

Oh...there is a knitting shop on Slaughter called the Knitting Nest, kinda close to Congress.  Then there is Hill Country Weavers On Congress.  A few Michael's, hobby Lobby and Jo-Ann, just looked them up in the phone book.

For cross-stitching, there is Ginger's on 35N around Cameron road.  I get my threads from there if I am doing a project on cross-stitching (Mom wnts to learn cross-stitching, I caught her loooking that section in  my Herrschners cataloge.).

Not to mention a few fabric stores as well.

Not bad for not living in Austin...

fluffypet61 -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/11/2010 8:52:15 AM)

Thanks for the yarn sources, Shahar.  i brought 8 balls of cotton with me to make wash cloths and hand towels.  Yes, i knitted on the bus.  Everyone else looked soooooo bored.  i can't abide being without my knitting or crochet.  Everybody gets hand crafted Christmas presents!

ShaharThorne -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/11/2010 9:10:06 AM)

If I have a seat to myself, I am crocheting myself while listening to music on my MP3 player.  If there is no space, I just listen to the player.

fluffypet61 -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/11/2010 9:15:14 AM)

Well, i proved to myself that i can crochet or knit in half a seat - the man next to me hogged the armrest and his elbows hung over on my side. (How do you say move your elbows in Spanish?)   But then i use circular needles to knit - it keeps me from dealing with the rigid ends that tend to bump people.

...gotta go over to needles and hooks, now.

soul2share -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/11/2010 10:37:23 AM)

Fluffy...poking someone with one of those needles is a pretty universal way of saying "back in your own space, ass!"  [8|]

I wish we had stores devoted to the stitching crafts here in Jax.....it's all Michaels, Hobby lobby or Joanns......I use the site Patternsonline.com to get my patterns.....I hate buying those kits because the threads aren't DMC, so when you run out you hafta order more from the company...unfortunately, in the time it takes to get it delivered, I'm pretty much working on something else...I have a project that really needs to be done, but it's still sitting in my crate.  When I was in IL, at Scott AFB, there was a store in O'fallon that was devoted to the stitching crafts.  I loved it!  But one solution was to e-mail the Bucilla and Dimensions companies and ask them for their conversion charts for threads....so now on the rare occasion I get the kits, I toss the thread that comes with it and get the DMC equivalent to their colors.

You are adopting me right?  [:)]

Between the chocolates and the wash clothes, you just gotta!

Aylee -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (8/11/2010 1:25:28 PM)

How do we know when it is nap time?

Umm. . . you are throwing a fit for no known reason?

Seriously, the hard-wood floor of the living room or the porch are NOT the best places for throwing yourself down to have a fit.  Mommy will just look at you until you are done.

On another note, when did Mommy become the clothes police?

I recall the "fight" the other half and I had regarding mini-skirts.  So I have not bought any.  Now, a couple of outfits that I have got Butterhead come with pants OR a skirt.  These skirts are now WAY too short on her.  The pants fit fine.  Why am I the one screaming, "She cannot go out in public like that!" over her short skirts and he thinks that there is nothing wrong?

No, but I think that Butterhead did.  She is sleeping now.   I knew that it was nap time.
