Did some Human Experimentation with Butterhead today.  They drained the outdoor pool this morning and we took her to the park (past the pool) so that she could see the empty pool and how she would react.  We were informed several times that it was "empty" and "all gone."

Butterhead off course had choosing her idea of good footwear to wear with her long-sleeved shirt and jeans that are on their last wearing because they are getting too small.  Her ruby slippers.  *sigh*  [8|]

Butterhead is obviously a person of style. :)

I cannot really complain and it does not really upset me.  They just make cute stories perhaps good for a smile.

I bought her the shoes and I will likely buy her another pair when she outgrows these since she is so fond of them.  Of course it is coming up on boot season which are her very favorite style of footwear.  [:)]

Can't have enough cool shoes, obviously.

The Man and I were in the car this morning and I stopped paying attention to him and started laughing. The radio was talking about a small town up the mountain from here where the cops were called after some poor person went to get in their car this morning and discovered a black bear sitting in it. They managed to open the door from some feet away and the bear ambled out. I guess he got tired of waiting for his ride!

Aylee -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (9/9/2010 1:50:43 PM)

I hate to think of how long the bear might have been in there and what the interior was like.

PeanutTigerinBox -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (9/9/2010 1:53:27 PM)

Yes.  Did the bear leave a feces or bear urine inside the vehicle?  Or if his claws tore it up?  Or did he leave it flea infested?

ShaharThorne -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (9/9/2010 2:56:01 PM)

I can imagine the claims on this...

OWNER:  This is a bear..does my policy cover the damages?

ADJUSTER:  Sorry, but acts of  G-D are not included...

Same day later, deposit the said car in front the insurance office, in big letters

BEAR SHANT IN CAR...

Adjuster comes out with the full amount of insurance on hand...

Amazing how a little bit of shit can embrassess a company...

There was no discussion of what the car looked like after. I'm curious also. But around here it isn't uncommon to call and say you've had an animal encounter and put in a claim. Usually deer but bear also. Of course mainly it's the outside of the car.

I believe that I read some where that White-Tailed Deer are actually the most dangerous mammal in North America because of the number of people killed every year by them.

I only walked up the street to get to my estate agent to pay my deposit...and all of a sudden I was lying bash on the floor, could not do anything at all against that one, how fast it happened.

I think it must be that my ankle got twisted again or gave in and that was it. I know it wasnt that i would have hit the edge of the footpath or so, so there was no mistake from the environment....it was my feet who let me down today....

annoying I do feel over more then I should with my ankles but thankfully so far it was never noticable in my face...a guy from the opposit street came straight away and after reassurance to him that I am ok he gave me a cup of water which felt incredible good at that moment.

The estate agent gave me tissues with cold water which also did reduce the pain, but I cancelled my work for today as I had no guarantee how I feel like and did not fancy to get up at 5am for work after such a fall...so I am of and at home now for the next 3 days, thank goodness [:)]

edited as: nope, not the day of moving today, it was the day to pay the remaining deposit and rent and to get the keys [:)]

moving will be on the last day of the month when I get my next salary as I have no chance to afford that now any earlier with such awful expenses....also more annoyingly I will have to live with my pretty much unpacked boxes for the first few weeks as i cant afford for my dad to come in before november or december to do the floors and there is no point to unpack all when then it is in the way again a few weeks later....apart from that I have to rewrite my dissertation until the end of october and so need to make sure not to screw that one up again. so better keep my focus on that in my first few weeks at my new place.

I discovered 2 dead beatles at my new place today and really hope that this isnt a sign of cockroaches or so (am really paranoid since I lived briefly in a place with them). But I met the woman next to my flat today and she said she has no such problem at her place so that increases the chances there aren't any at my place either.

My dad just seriously has to change the disgusting floors before I am able to feel halfway comfortable in that place. That neighbour told me today that before me was a woman living i there who had to be sectioned at the end as her mental health deteriorated a lot, which also had its impact on the flat and might explain why some of those carpets look as awful as they do.

Largest cause of death in my county is deer-car. Not just hitting them but also swerving to avoid them as then you tend to go into a ditch or hit a tree. Better by far to hit them and survive than wrap yourself around a tree and not. Cars can be replaced, people can't.

I am ok, yes, but since today the swellings come out more now of course, which I feel on the left side of my ripcage as well as on my nose and also my left eye is a little bit swollen as my glasses were pushed into my eye socket during that fall...so I have now on top of that bump on the forehead a bit of a blue eye on the left side...gosh, that will be such a joy to go to work next week [8|]

Even more considering I am working in five different houses next week so plenty awkward questions to answer [8|]

But I am sure that apart from normal swellings there is nothing serious behind it and I slept well (though sadly on the sofa and not in bed, as I just didn't wake up for ages and when I woke up there was no point anymore to go to bed...)

DesFIP -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (9/10/2010 6:53:13 AM)

Peanut, your best friend right now should be ice packs. Five houses next week? Better get used to answering questions or make something spectacular up!

PeanutTigerinBox -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (9/10/2010 7:00:02 AM)

yep, I agree, they are my best friend...

and regarding questions I will think over some smart answers over the weekend...I just never imagined that my frequent falls could ever have such an enormous outcome...I never ever felt as sudden and fast like that. Since today it seems to me that it was my left ankle as that one is tense, yesterday I had no idea which one it probably caused...
