Good morning, All: Well, the transfer has been completed & Lady Zoe is now in her new foster home. Here's an update on the happenings, Zoe arrived last night around 8ish and as you know, she looks JUST LIKE JOLLY right down to the rings on her tail! I had flashbacks of when Jolly first arrived, little, scared but curious. We took her into her room, left her in the carrier so Jilly & Jolly could come in also & greet their new foster sister. As I suspected, Jolly's alter ego--The Jolly-Nator-- surfaced and there was nothing but hissing/growling. I shooed them out, let Zoe out of her carrier and she's just a cutie pie. I went in/out of her room to check on her and once when I was out, she squeaked at the closed door, no other peep was heard from her, but of course, The Jolly-Nator was there hissing/growling reminiscent of the days of Polly's arrival. Once I turned out her lights, she seemed to settle down (no worries, there's a night light in the room so she's not completely in the dark). Well, this AM, she was up bright & early so I gave her fresh food/water, cleaned out her litter box, gave her a bowl of kitty milk w/her little pill in it but alas, she didn't want anything to do w/any of it, she was so energetic/ready to do some more exploring, I left the door open so everyone could meet & don't you know Zoe ran right up on my back! Perched herself right on my shoulder so she's out of range of J&J. I got her down& I decided to let her out to meet her foster siblings nose to nose, knowing full well the hissing/growling would continue but no harm would be done to her. All went well, thought The Jolly-Nator was out in full force, following Zoe around, growling, hissing, batting at her when Zoe dared to turn around/face him head on, but as I knew, no harm was done. This went on for a couple hours as I got ready for work, then when it was time for me to go, I attempted to put Zoe back in her room, but as I said, I ATTEMPTED it, she was not having it & I chased her for almost 20 minutes. I started having feelings of déjà vu' w/Boo Boo Twin & Jen. She just wouldn't let me catch her & I was so late for work, I had no choice but to leave her out :( I know she'll be alright and The Jolly-Nator & Jilly won't hurt her, I just don't want her to hurt herself climbing on the trees. I'll go home at lunch to check on her.
