Mine is Honig Sauvignon Blanc; (a Napa creation) It actually tastes like peaches and pears...it's light, fruity, dry and delicious. It runs around $15. which is great for a wine of that quality.

Otoh, with the economy the way it is now, I'd like suggestions for even less expensive wines.

What makes your wine special, and how much can I expect to pay?

Does Costco or Sam's carry it?

Why don't you ask the guys sitting on the sidewalk out front of Sams Club, and Costco drinking from the paper bags what they prefer?

...that's what I do at the liquor store....[:D]

mine is arbor mist (black berry) 3.99 at walmarty...grins sweeeeeeeet just the way i like things....[:)]

Hey that stuff chilled  is not bad on a hot day.  More of a fruit beverage than a wine, but it can be fun, and the price is right.

Dancing Bull makes a great $8 Zinfandel.  Their Cab is great too, but it's more like $11-$12.

For a decent table Chardonnay - Rodney Strong, about $17
A decent table Sirah - Rock Rabbit, about $12.
A decent Pinot Noir - Concannon, about $12

pretty much anything on the sweet side of the Post Familie or Wiederkehr Wine Cellars brand. God I wish I could get some Niagra Blush from wiederkehr in SC

Oddly enough, we've actually got a couple of wineries here in Oklahoma now that are turning out decent inexpensive vints - pretty much anything from The Grape Ranch in Okemah (the set up a wine tasting every year at the state fair, and I've become rather fond of both their Rose` offering and their Pinot Gris.)  And the Tidal School Vineyards & Winery out in Drumright produce a really nice table Red, and a positively Excellent Merlot.  All of the Oklahoma vineyards & wineries have offerings that range in price from $10 to about $35.  I know, Oklahoma isn't exactly known as Wine Country - but hey, we're Trying to come into the 21st century!

If I want a Red...I love either Riuniti Lambrusco or Livingston Red Rose
White.....a Zinfendel

used to like a Merlot till any brand would make me sick.

I have a very refined pallet, so I'd have to say a nice 2008 Welch's...the purple grape one.  [:D]

I enjoy Messina Hof very much. Excilent merlots and riselings. Most bottles run between $10 - $20. Its winery located in Brian College Station, TX also offers a Bed & Breakfast for a nice yet inexpensive romantic get away.

Curtis Winery blends some great wines, from grapes grown in the Santa Ynez Valley, Santa Barbara County.  The Heritage Cuvee and Heritage Rose' are Rhone-style blends of Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre.  They are 18$ and 14$.

Firestone Winery uses grapes from San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties and makes a fine Cabernet Savignon for $18, a Savignon Blanc for $14 and a Reisling for $12.

Anyone here ever have wine-aid? It's wine mixed with koolaid... well, I like wine that's cheap enough and awful enough to do that to. Does that make me a bad person?

I think it's more because I'm poor and can't spring for a 15 dollar bottle of wine but if my brother in law offers alcohol, I'll take it in whatever form I can and make some really sweet lemonade out of really gross lemons!

I like Charles Shaw aka 2 buck Chuck.  I think it's only sold at Trader Joe's.

For every day I just buy box wine. I like Red and Zinfandel. It's good for the table and good for cooking too. It usually runs $10 for about 5 liters. Where I live I think the two brands most available to me are both made by Gallo, but I couldbe wrong.

Otherwise I tend to drink japanese beer, hard ciders, and mainly CA sparkling wines.

In the summertime I like making homemade wine coolers with (pick a red, white or rose to your liking) + ginger ale or 7-Up and frozen fruit.
 
(There are so many wineries in this area that it would be impossible to pick just one !)
