I have a keychain with about 60 keys that I hang on a subbies lower lip when they try that "pouting" thing around me. It amusing as hell. LOL.

BTW. I have been a fantasy/sci fi reader since an early age. I read all the Norman/Gor novels as they were released and have approx over 2000 paperbacks kicking around the house. So.... I'm not dogging the genre at all. Just what some people get from it.

I wouldn't be too concerned about that. Large numbers of posts, and the various icons, can as easily mean bombast and bloviation as wisdom.

Seems from our previous correspondence that you already have the bar set pretty high for yourself. I expect your words and posts will hit several chords at once.

i've been told that i don't sound/act like a twue submissive because of the way i respond on the forums and/or i speak for Daddy sometimes. one dominant offered to train me to behave as a submissive should. i simply replied back telling him Daddy says i'm very untrainable and wished him well in his valiant efforts.

I think anytime anyone makes a judgment about you in some early emails you probably should be concerned.

MM2 - when I had a profile on t'other side, I got emails from supposed D-types all the time telling me my profile didn't "sound" submissive or that an email I had sent didn't "sound" submissive.
My response was usually "Darn right pal, it sure doesn't/didn't. What flavour pacifier would you like?" Actually that was what I THOUGHT for a response, I usually bit my tongue and sent something polite back.

Be prepared for more of the same.

To the gentle reader who indicated there was or is a double-standard for submissives and dominants. I can't really address that. I am sure Dominants receive an equal number of disingenuous missives. And, lest I forget, switches probably have to put up with both.

I am not surprised when I receive notes from people accusing me of undesirable behavior because they didn't receive the response they were looking for. I write it off to the immaturity of the sender. But when I receive an email offering me a "relationship including new home, money and an easy life" I'm amused that the sender expects me to believe it.

Please, I've never had someone just hand me money or a new home for being there, life is not easy and neither am I. If I were 5'10", 21, blonde and a super-model maybe genuine offers of the sort would be pouring in, but I'm 5'6", older and look like the girl next door.

The thing is not to take this all too seriously. It is the Web and just like life there are genuine people, nut-cases and posers.

What i was talking about is the way that male submissives who complain are treated versus female submissives. I agree that the two examples that i pointed out are extreme but if you look at the boards you will see the general tone is different for the two.

Don't get me wrong i do agree with where you are coming from. Just like life in general 99.99% of the time if something sounds too good to be true it usually is and should be questioned. What's that thing about bad apples?? You just stick to your guns and sound anyway you need too for you. Some of these wannabe dominants need to learn that just because we are submissive does not mean we are wimps. I actually believe that most geniune dominants wouldn't want a wimp anyway.

Dragon, you are sooooo missing the point here. Anyone who posts that everything sucks, whine whine whine, is going to get hammered. And you know what? They frikking deserve it, because everything doesn't suck. They are causin their own problems 99% of the time, and blaming everyone except themselves. Example: the second thread you linked was started by a baby in the body of a man.

You can find examples on the boards over the last 24 hours where I personally have cut into female subs also. I am in no way unique here. Most posters could not care less if the OP was male or female.

The OP of this thread spoke with humor, and seems like a stable, nice person.

There's no gender double standard. There is a not-an-asshole double standard. And women can be assholes too, not just men.
