I think it might also be because some people think you've said 'no' due to a lack of information, or a misunderstanding. So they want to hone their presentation and come at you again to give you another shot at their wonderfulness.

Also, I know some guys take heart in the romantic stories of the persistent suitor who eventually wins the fair maiden over. So they might think that their insistence is a way of showing how caring they are.

Then there are those who seem to feel that pushiness, even to the point of aggression is a Domly trait that will mesmerize you and make you glad that they didn't give up on you.

Those last two things I mentioned are from the "Faint heart ne'er won fair maiden" school of non-thought.

Another, more mundane explanation could be that they are simply dumb, drunk, suffering from too much testosterone in the blood, or are just jerks for some as yet undiagnosed reason.

Just my thoughts....not that I'm an authority...

Bob

G'day Bob,

Sat a can of Fosters out last night. Well a few of them, each with different people's name on them, so if you suddenly got drunk, blame the 'Ol Grizzly (Jees they didn't taste half bad).

Back to the issue:- I got an email today from a sub who appologised for writing and said that she knew that I wasn't looking but she had read you post (quoted above) and asked if i would mind being a practice partner whilst she honed her "Master Approaching" skills. Of course I agreed, but what a good idea. I guess it is a form of mentorship, but it is something which I think is great that some one realised that they were new enough and wanted to learn.

b/c it's the net .makes loads of sense.

that some just can't understand the concept of not interested when put politely?

i truly am at a loss at the nerve of some with their jumping to conclusions.

my profile is quite honest about what i want.

odds are when i am only replying back with no i don't want to chat or no i don't wish to give out any info to someone.....its because i do not wish to get to know them for whatever reason(no profile or their just asking about sex pretty much gets me there FAST).

they are extremely rude because their kink is not my kink or whatever

i guess i'm venting

some folks just ain't got no couth They need more edjumacation about how to behave in polite society

Or you can blame it on the anonymity afforded by the internet and the subsequent lack of repercussions for exhibiting boorish behavior.

In this context, its a cluster of nerve cells external to the brain or spinal cord.... like say the ones that get stimulated when I play with your nipples for example.

Gee, she could always hone those skills on me too. But I guess that could be risky, since I definitely AM looking.

Thanks for the Fosterly gesture. Come to think of it, I did feel a bit unsteady on my feet last night. But then....with all the time zones, last night in Australia would be...what? right now? tomorrow? Yesterday?

It's simple. "The rules are for others; they don't apply to me. Afterall, she wouldn't disappoint ME!"

All you can do is say "No" once and then block them if they can't get the hint. I still say there's no excuse for rudeness either on-line or in person............... Well, maybe there is an excuse SOMETIMES, but not very often.

If it were a perfect world, then everyone on here would be what they say and they would respect what others say they are. However, in reality many don't even read your profile before contacting you. That is the reason why there's very little info on mine.

I suppose in that perfect world everyone would know what they were, but my observation is that significant, let alone complete, self-awareness is a rare thing. Were we to assume, however, that people on this site were self-aware, perhaps some of them would be aware of an urge within themselves for someone to disrespect what they say, override their objections, penetrate their boundaries and take control. Or would that be too much like dominance and submission?

To attain ultimate knowledge is a worthy aspitation but if once it is attained, what would be left to aspire to? Personally, I believe the journey of seeking knowledge is the most exciting and probably the most dangerous undertalking a human being can embark on.
