Jesus … I didn’t get shit for sleep… I fell asleep watching a movie about demons that raise up in dead bodies. Something about needing human bodies to sacrifice at Satan’s portal so he can come back and rule Earth once again… I have no idea what happened. The sandman got me and I dozed off zzzzzzzz…

Then the phone rang a couple times while I was asleep. I guess I answered it in real life but I also dreamt I answered it in my dream. All I remember was that a zombie was on the phone. The zombie told me not to talk and that they couldn’t talk. Hey … don’t ask me to make sense of it. It just happened that way.

Man it was a rough night! Fighting zombies in my dreams, talking to a female in my sleep in real life. I am still groggy and sorting out the events that occurred while I slept. I used to be in the music industry so I am not unaccustomed to waking up to find my world has changed while I was asleep.

I am so stiff and achy from head to toe, I need a cup of tea. I need to get a hold of myself. Now this next part is what inspired me to make this a post.

I used to have a slave. She was horrible in the kitchen. She is that 20-something cutie that melted copper Revereware pans while boiling water for tea. Now tea is an important part of my life. It is a bedtime ritual. Tea and a book. Tea and a cookie. Tea and nice shot of scotch as a hot toddy after a long day. Well little miss 20 something went to make me her first hot toddy with GREEN TEA……….. ack. Green tea cannot stand up to the flavor of scotch and it only tastes like hot scotch. Now I didn’t complain, in fact, I never said I didn’t like drinking hot scotch. I did however correct her on her future endeavors in making a proper tea and whiskey.

So now you know you never make a hot toddy with green tea. Use black tea. And you now know that my whole ritual of tea and reading at night, or a cookie and a cup of tea and all that good M/s stuff often included a shot of scotch (God bless single malt).

I have an Oasis hot & cold water dispenser in my dinning room. There is a drawer system next to it with several kinds of tea. As I said, I am pretty groggy this morning and when I went to make tea, low and behold, I did same thing my “not so kitchen wise” slave did … I made green tea and put whiskey in it… well, some scotch that is. I don’t really consider the two to be the same even though technically they are. In fact, the hot toddy originated in Scotland… so I think using scotch only makes sense.
But holy shit… it’s 6am in the morning and I am drinking crappy green tea with scotch in it. How tough can life be that you need a shot at 6am?
