Wow this is a good thread. I'd like to add my story/2cents. I state explicitly in my profile that I am looking for a relationship with someone of my hertiage. I ALSO state that I like anyone regardless of race, so if you just want to be friends, I'm interested in everyone. I HAVE gotten some unpleasant messages, and more often than not dom men that are not Asian contact me for purposes other than "friends." I simply do not reply or re-explain that I am seeking friends. What people will either realize or refuse to realize is that I am not sexually/romantically/dynamically interested in any non-Asian male dom. From that sentence, you should see my meaning... rules are simply set. I would not have a relationship with a sub man. I would not have a relationship with a dom woman. I would not have a relationship with a non-Asian. Maybe this is racist, but in that case, I am also sexist and apparently role-ist. Dear OP: Maybe you are looking too hard at all the white/black tension. If I were you, I would try to see it as a preference... not as a problem. If someone contacts you based STRICTLY on your race, then I would understand why you'd be offended. But if you are offended because some people prefer different races, then I'm terribly sorry for offending you.
