It's almost common place in other places I find but normally talked about behind ones back rather than discussed like an adult. My point being that this whole thing called the scene has made a serious swing with its new members being more and more judgemental, opinionated and finger pointing.
When I came into the scene the mentality was that it was the one place we could all celebrate our differences. Instead, it has been for some years now a place to judge people on what they enjoy.
Regardless of where it is happening, it's a shame that it happens as often as it does.
I'll also add this isn't only a dom thing, it's not only a submissive thing either. It's sad people being scared thing.
I don't think it's the scene in general that's brought out a proliferation of "new members being more and more judgemental, opinionated and finger pointing." I think it's more a product of the Net and the anonymity it provides.
This thread was an interesting example.... I lost interest after my last 2 posts were deleted (and my source of mirth banned) but the thing that struck me most was the number of puritanical newbie forumites kicking off their posting career in this particular thread with highly judgemental "drive-by" posts. I noted several of them were later deleted, too, but it certainly displayed a new bent on "chicken". Even allowing for the fractured vision of patriotism from some, would they have all done it in person and without the security of anonymity?
