Status: offline 		Hi there YHMA, although your deffinition of sex doesn't include toys and fingers I'd still say it's sex or some sort of sex play.  I'm not sure what you'd call it other than an open relationship since your SO approves of the play.  You may play with others, but your heart belongs to him

i posted a thread a while back asking if it was possible to have a mutually exclusive relationship between a Dom and sub.

(I'd originally listed myself as a sub looking for a monogomous relationship ... and monogomous meant different things to different people ... we'd get past the first meeting and would be looking at playing and his 'friends were there to join in! i've been looking for a way to describe what i'm seeking that is as clear as possible)

There were three replies the last i looked and all said yes.  But one couple regularly hosted play parties in the dungeon.  This confused me.
 
After the posts above, i've a better understanding ... i hate condoms and just don't want to use them once the appropriate time has passed ... and this soft and hard swapping kinda makes sense ... but i can't see it applying to bdsm play ... there's too many hard and soft ... terms in there already!
 
I can see the need for a label particularly when stating what you do / don't do and what you do / don't want... the difficulty will be in having the same meaning understood by those that see/read it.

why is it confusing that a couple would regularly host bdsm parties at their dungeon?

It doesn't matter at all how I would label it -- it isn't what many people would assume you meant when you  said 'I am monogamous'.  It's best to be very, very clear with all your partners about your sexual conduct.

Status: offline 		Soft Swing, if both of you are involved and no genital to genital contact is going on other than with your SO.  Give me a yell on the other side, and I can give you the web addy of a swingers' site I'm on that might help you figure things out a bit easier.  Good site, good folks, not at all judgemental or problematic about those of us who are involved in both swing and other aspects of kink, and (with the exception of one or two couples that are generally viewed as snobs) exceedingly helpful to newcomers with questions.
