I dunno. Catherine Tate might be good in her own venue, but she just never worked for me.

It's been broadcast, so according the Spoiler Rules, it's not a spoiler.

SteelofUtah -> RE: Doctor Who - Anyone else happy Donna Noble's gone? (7/7/2008 3:27:05 PM)

Okay Someone needs to start talking HOW IN THE HELL DID MICKY GET BACK???

PM me please as not to spoil anyone else, as for me I don't mind spoilers I want to see HOW they do what they do so knowing what they did is not a Spoiler to me.

Now I did see the episode where the Cyber Men and the Daleks have to be destroyed by cloing the universe in on itself but I didn't get to see the whole 3 parts that expain it all I do that soon after that Rose leaves and the episode talks about how she died even though she didn't.

See even without seeing them I can see how it could have been done but seriously guys someone who knows exactly how the got Micky back I would love to know.

*** WAIT~~ When Micky Left the Doctor gave him Roses Cell Phone, I bet you Micky uses it to call the Tardis since the cell phone is from the parallel universe and that is how they get Micky Back Right??

You and I know the SPoiler Rules but you also have to account for the fact that it was Broadcast in the UK it has yet to broadcast in the states.

It's okay just go with the flow mate. I appreciate the Thread I love talking Doctor.

We have none of your so called 'Spoiler Rules' here. However most spoilers prohibit the announcement of subject matter that is integral to the entertainment in the title before one or two weeks have passed. If you know your film and programme spoiler information, you would be aware of that.

Is it ONE or TWO? If you're going to make up rules, define them clearly.

e.g.: For LOST, officially, once it's broadcast in its home market, there are no spoilers.

The UKers need to deal with the split b/cast schedule for Lost.

Anyway, now that everyone's getting their TV online, from places like tvtorrents.com , it's all moot.

Which reminds me, I need to download last night's Weeds...

RCdc -> RE: Doctor Who - Anyone else happy Donna Noble's gone? (7/8/2008 6:59:06 AM)

This is Darcy

Having now caught up with the final episode, a few thoughts...... (and some potential SPOILERS!)

I really liked how all of the main (surviving) characters were brought together to essentially wrap up all of the plot points that Russell T Davies had cleverly introduced throughout his tenure with Doctor Who. It gives the last four years a sense of closure, although I must admit it'll be interesting to see how the real world within Dr Who (or the Whoniverse as it's known is some very geeky circles [;)] ) deals with the fallout of this latest Dalek (attempted) invasion.

I think Rose has been a great companion (although her lisp in the last few episodes was a little annoying, but that's collagen injections for you, eh Billie?) but can't help feeling she got a little short-changed by getting the 'human' Doctor. Martha I never really warmed to, but as the.dark. hinted at, rumour has it that both she and Mickie will be heading to Torchwood to replace the two fallen characters there.

Donna, Donna, Donna.....I must admit I thought she was a terrible choice as companion initially but she really won me over. She's the only one of the current crop of female companions who didn't have any interest in the Doctor, and the creation of the DoctorDonna was nothing short of brilliant. Inevitably this could only ever be a short-term thing, but it was wonderful while it lasted. Shame to see Donna's memory wiped, though - a very bittersweet ending to what turned out to be an interesting companion.

Davros! I adore Davros, and was thrilled to see him back, particularly as he was apparently basaed on the very first incarnation from 1975's Genesis Of The Daleks. Nice touch that he remembered Sarah-Jane too. Another nice touch that it turned out that he wasn't actually in control either, but more the pet of the Supreme Dalek (the geek in me had wondered why there was a Supreme Dalek around AND Davros, as the two had been mutually exclusive in all Dalek stories previously.)

I loved the alternate Doctor-less alternate reality in Left Turn, but I had been wondering all season after the constant mentions that Donna had something on her back whether it might have been something to do with the old Planet Of The Spiders story, which famously featured a huge(ish) spider on the back of one of the Doctor's companions (Jo, I believe) and also had Sarah-Jane in it (if memory serves), and was the story where Jon Pertwee regenerated into Tom Baker.

Finally, I'll miss David Tennant after his final four specials in 2009. He's been a great Doctor and will be tough to replace (but then I said the same about Eccleston). I'd love to see Robert Carlisle play the role (those hoping for James McEvoy are sure to be disappointed, as I think his Hollywood star is in too much of an ascension to tempt him to a regular television role at the moment.)

All in all, the Tennant years (and indeed the entire current era Doctor Who) have been a blast! [:D]
