What a lazy-assed way to try to get a date.

Yep.   My thoughts exactly.

You say that like it's a bad thing

Not being a submissive woman, I can't really comment on my personal reaction to this offer in any meaningful way, but reverse the gender and power orientation, and sure, I would consider it (given, as has been said before in this thread, the gal's attitude and my personal attraction to her.)

I have spent the night in the bed or on the floor of many of the fine folks I have met on the internet.  I have also hosted many an internet friend, and currently have standing offers out to a bunch of people I only know online (and in particular a lovely little slave girl and her Master from LA *wink*) to come and stay at mine whenever they like.  I have reciprocal from them, so I have that going for me.

If I didn't currently have 4 people living in my two bedroom apartment, I certainly would open my home up to traveling kinksters, even if I didn't really know them.  I love having a busy house...  That said, if anyone is going to be in the Rochester, NY area and wants some to offer up some kinky no strings attached pussy in exchange for a bed, give me a shout and I'll see what I can do.

I think it's a cool idea, and would definitely consider it if a dominant woman made the offer. Of course, I wouldn't do it without getting to know the person first and taking the normal precautions. That should go without saying, but unfortunately, it doesn't.

I  think I love you, Taggard! (And this is exactly the same reason we don't have a lot of overnight company here -- cram 4 women into 800 square feet and it's cozy... but not a lot of room for visitors.) Of course, a willing slaveboy making a jaunt through Houston, complete with foot-massage supplies and a tea fetish... we could certainly find room for -that- (over my shoulder...."Couldn't we Darling?")

It doesn't sound the least bit enticing to me.  When I have backpacked I have stayed with people I met on the road however the decision was made based upon initially getting to know them in person even if we had only met that day.  I would feel much more uncomfortable staying with someone who is nothing more than a name on a computer and definitely wouldn't be planning on playing with him in return for a cheap/freeplace to sleep.  That is why backpackers hostels were invented.

a little off topic - I have noticed quite a few profiles from men that mention that they are visiting a particular place for a short time and asking for a woman to take them around and to help make their visit more enjoyable...often mentioning that they will take the person out for meals etc.  I am a profile junkie but haven't noticed women asking for the same thing.
edited to add a word

In response to paragraph 1 above, you've always got the right and the ability to back out if you don't like what you see when you meet. You can take the same precautions that you always do. Meet them at a public place first, etc., etc.

In response to paragraph 2, I've never seen men ask for "travel guides". On the other hand, I have seen women looking for men at their travel/visit destinations, and they usually want the men to show them around, pay for everything, sometimes give them a place to stay. Of course, I read a lot more women's profiles than men's, and you probably do the opposite, so that could account for our different experiences.

I've done it, though not usually in my profile.  I usually check out some of the profiles from people in the area and send a note (with references) asking if they would like to meet up for drinks/dinner/ice cream.  I love meeting new people in new places, and it helps if they are kinky so they know the hot spots.

I agree that you would have the ability to say no if you met and you felt concerned.  It simply seems quite a bit different to at least nominally knowing someone already through the internet and accepting their hospitality.  There are a couple of people that I only know minimally through here who have invited me to stay if I am ever over their way and I would jump at the chance but in the case of the profile I am assuming (perhaps wrongly) that the people have had almost no contact before visiting.  I don't know how to describe the difference... I guess even if I don't have a lot of communication with someone I learn a lot about them from their posts on here and their interactions with others and that is one of the ways in which I would decide to stay with someone or not.

As for profiles, I am an equal opportunity perver though I do mainly read profiles of people who post on the forums which is what I based my comment on.

Like you I have seen more than a few males asking for accomodations along the way.  And I am sure if sex is offered they might be open to obliging.
I have a male dominant friend who travels around the country doing just that.  But, it is left up to the host(ess) whether or not they want to indulge in play with a casual stranger.

I think I had to look twice at this other guys profile because while my friend does essentially the same thing only as the guest.. sex is an option and not a requirement.

It just felt like a lazy way to get laid, from a guy who might otherwise never see pussy.
And it made me feel like he was seeing passing subs as hookers who were getting a room, for his board.

Adventure is one thing... being totally stupid is another.  Be safe... pay your own way, arrange your own lodgings.

On the other side- I took in an online aquaintance that was coming to the area a few years ago and wanted to get into the local "scene" here.   I was a good hostess.  I took her shopping for the  play night at the local dungeon and introduced her to some safe doms to play with her.  A good time was had by all.

For the next 3 days she sat in my computer room, didn't bathe and I finally had to tell her it was time to take a shower.  She left the next day afterward.  My office chair was never the same.

So much for playing Momma-domma.  I would never take in a stranger again...no matter how long I had been knowing the person online.

When I read the words from that are copied from that profile I am reminded of my lead pressman's favourite saying...."you can wish in one hand and shit in the other, see which one fills up first"............or something like that.

Here is the thing - I would stay with people I had met on differant levels. I would do a one night stand if I felt like I wanted to (or Master ordered me to). There is nothing in here that screams 'NO" to me, whilie it is disected.
As a whole - NO. I would not stay with a guy who put up an ad offering a bed in exchange for kinky pussy. Sorry.
nothing against ads. nothing against one night stands. nothing against staying with friendly strangers - yes, that one is a risk but life is a risk. it's like picking up hitchhikers, which i do all the time.
nothing against any of it, except that the WHOLE feels Hinky to me, you know?

Short and Sweet..No I would not consider staying there.

Long and the short of it. A Safe Place is exactly that, safe. To me this means that there are no demands for anything other than a helping hand with dishes and cleaning up. It does not mean sexual play or service as an obligation. What he is offering is a one night stand at best and who knows, he could be playing the spider host to the sub fly. Sociopaths can be extremely charming.
